               My comments in blue, Scriptures & quotes in black, references in green.

The following is an introduction to the many subjects of my beliefs and my opinions on Biblical topics based on God’s Word the Bible and also the present day scientific facts that support the Bible, but I strongly suggest that you check it out for yourself to see if it is true and follow God’s instruction to “Prove all things”.

Apparently there are thousands of different Christian religious denominations and many believe that you don’t have to prove anything! That’s not in harmony with God’s Word the Bible and not how I was taught;

1 Thess 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. KJV

In the Greek the word prove is; dokimazo; to test. Strong’s

So the New King James bible is more accurate;

1 Thess 5:21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil. NKJV

I have scanned scriptures in many cases but even these could be doctored (one could, but God’s Word is sacrosanct so I could not), so buy your own copies of the bibles, Interlinears, Strong’s and other publications I have quoted, don’t just accept it. Never follow individuals and all ways check it be true or false yourself. That’s why I have my comments in blue to separate them from Scriptures and quotations. I have always used a selection of bibles, but some time ago I started to do more in my ministry, and time and again the people I spoke to said “that’s your bible or your publication”. So I collected more and more versions of the bible and if when talking to people I didn’t have their version I would return with one and pre-study with it and research the subject independently first and double check it, and that is so faith strengthening to independently prove for oneself and others that what you have been taught and believe is the truth. My ministry as a result increased, people were more responsive, and I developed more studies deep studies. I even take the Hebrew and Greek interlinear bibles on studies, which I took to show a young Catholic girl God’s name, a very good friend the Oracle said it was too deep for her, but it wasn’t and when we gave her a copy of our bible she was so appreciative it was heart-warming, a moment I will always remember. But don’t stop at getting different bibles, there are other subjects in science, evolution, the Koran….

I was recently asked isn’t there enough information in the publications and why have I done so much research with different bibles, publications and different sources of scientific research, well for anyone who gets comments like “that is your bible, your publication” and so forth I think it is good for others to be able to refer to other sources who have done the research independently using different bibles, different scientific sources and come to the same conclusions, I found it immensely valuable. I spoke to one man who attacked our bible as fake and said we should read proper bibles, you should have seen the look on his face when I started quoting from different translations and then took out of my bag a King James, Douay and Living Bibles.

Mat 5:16 Likewise, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens.

Who I am isn’t important, that someone has researched independently is, it’s another arrow in the quiver. I think there isn’t enough information about subjects like the trinity, evolution, does God give and take away and nothing on homosexuality. I have also covered many other topics.

I started with science/evolution and the trinity, my favourite subjects, which I do recommend.

Space

Space the final frontier

The only hope for mankind, as some would believe!

Its science fiction but they believe it’s true!

My comments in blue, Quotes & Scriptures in a variety of colours.

President Richard Nixon said of the Moon landing of 1969, “This is the greatest week in the history of creation” and;

Robert Heinlein; prolific American writer considered to be one of the most literary and sophisticated of science-fiction writers, said; “This is the greatest event in all the history of the human race … The human race will not die, even if we spoil this planet, it’s going to go on and on and on.” Many more since that time have voiced the same sentiments and with that arrogant mentality one can see why so many ignore the threats facing the environment and of the destructiveness of man’s wars, so they think they can destroy our beautiful planet earth and go to another one, and the amount of money and precious resources wasted on this folly it’s total stupidity. Don’t get me wrong, I do find it fascinating to know more about our solar system and the universe in general, but there is a need for balance when there are so many other more important concerns facing mankind, even endangering our very existence. It is disgraceful that they have no idea or ignore the facts of how special and unique our planet and solar system are.

Mixed up in all these big claims, is the hope that if they could just find one earth like planet with life on it, then that would in their minds prove the theory of evolution and remove the need for the existence of the Creator God. Which is something many have been desperately trying to prove since Darwin’s time without any success.

So are there really other earth like planets? Is it possible that we would be able to see them? Is it possible that we would be able to find life on them? Is it likely, is it possible that they could finally get evidence of alien life?

More recently we’ve heard on the news statements like;

In a distant solar system an amazing discovery the first planet to be found that’s like ours.

NASA says; plants from Earth could be transferred there and would probably survive!

1,400 light years away the first planet to be found that’s very much like ours that could conceivably host life.

And detailed images of other planets, even show stunning sea views;

earth like 2

    sea artists

These are bold statements and beautiful detailed pictures, but what do we actually know, what is fact and what is fiction or wishful thinking, hype. If there are earth like planets in other solar systems is it possible for us to see them? When even the closest planets are 1,400 light-years away. Just one light year being equivalent to approximately 6 million, million miles (6,000,000, 000,000), so that makes the suggested planet 8.4 Quadrillion (8,400,000,000,000,000) miles away!

The Earth in comparison to the Sun

For example could our Goldilocks planet earth be visible from another solar system? Visible enough so that it could be recognised as a planet, a planet that has an atmosphere, which atmosphere is breathable and all the criteria required for life, when we consider how small the earth is compared to our star the sun.

juoiter large to small

It doesn’t seem to be recognised or should I say acknowledged how extremely small the earth is compared to the sun and some of the other planets, especially the gas giants in other systems that are always being highlighted in the search for earth like planets it is certainly at times played down to the point of deceit.

Like this;

star-blob

We will see later how large supposedly earth like planets are portrayed compared to their stars.

But sometimes the truth is stated;

Horizon: Secrets of the Solar System 3/3/15 .

Astronomer Chris Watson, a planet hunter.

If we were an alien civilisation looking back at our solar system, if we happen to catch sight of Jupiter transiting the face of the Sun, we would see a 1% dip in Sun light. For a planet a lot, lot smaller like the earth that dip is much, much smallerit’s minuscule. And that’s why it’s so, so difficult to detect these…   (31min)

One hundred and nine earths would fit across the diameter of the sun and it would take approximately 11,881 earths to cover the cross sectional area of the sun taken as if in 2 dimensional. The earth is but a spec and that’s without taking into account of the brightness and glare of the sun and its relative apparent brightness is reduced by 62 billion times, if viewed from another solar system. Even from just our closest neighbouring solar system 1,400 light-years away, from that huge distance even with the largest telescope it would be invisible. That being the case how is it possible that astronomers can see other earth like planets, which would have to be relatively the size of earth, around a similar type and size star in other solar systems? The definition will be a fraction of what we have of the sun from our location.

By comparison, the next closest star to the Earth is 250,000 times farther away, and its relative apparent brightness is reduced by the square of that ratio, or 62 billion times. Ency. Brit.

By comparison Jupiter has a diameter 11 times that of earth and a cross-sectional area 121 times that of earth. We are told a thousand earths would fit inside Jupiter, even though there have been four previous probes to Jupiter; Pioneer 10, Voyager 1, Voyager 2, Galileo and now the fifth probe Juno. Jupiter is still a huge mystery as little is known about what’s under the acid clouds and that’s what Juno is hoped to reveal the mysteries beneath the clouds.

One astronomer called Jupiter “the king of the solar system” and saidif you were looking from afar our solar system is mainly four big planets and some debris, so in other words Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune could possibly be seen, but mercury, Venus, Mars and our Goldilocks Earth would not be visible as planets they were likened to just insignificant “debris, unrecognisable as planets. Our solar system that we have here was likened to the oddball of solar systems, the norm, the others are “weirdin comparison to our organised solar system.

Horizon: Secrets of the Solar System 3/3/2015

The giant planets’ story IS the story of our solar system. We like to think that the earth is really important, but the truth is if you were looking from afar our solar system is mainly four big planets and some debris. (6 min)

Jupiterthe king of the solar system. Dr Scott Bolton (10 min)

Of all the planetary systems so far discovered, it seems we are the only one with the lucky roll of the dice. Presenter Ruth Wilson

You might think that maybe the solar system that we have here is actually the oddball and the natural order of things are these other systems that we think of as weird. Dr Kevin Walsh (58 min)

And speaking of debris Jupiter is very important for us and all life on earth, due to Jupiter’s size, it’s larger than all the other planets put together and so its gravitational pull is huge and vital for it allows the earth to be habitable as its gravitational pull attracts comets and asteroids and other bodies that might otherwise smash into earth.

Carole Mundell. Professor of Extragalactic Astronomy, Uni. Bath

Jupiter is the planet that keeps us safe. It’s the one that has the gravitational pull … comets and asteroids and other bodies that might otherwise smash into earth, it cleans up the solar system and allows the earth to be habitable. Breakfast 4/9/16

So Jupiter is truly the king, it rules the solar system protecting us from foreign invaders and allows the earth to be habitable. So as it’s vital to have a Jupiter like plant as our earth’s protectorate, why have we not seen it as part of the criteria in the search for other planets called earth like?  A Jupiter like plant is never mentioned when they claim they’ve found other earths!

The Pale Blue Dot

It reminds me of ‘The Pale Blue Dot’ a photograph of earth just one pixel, taken by NASA’s Voyager 1 spacecraft as it was leaving our solar system in 1990.

pale blue dot 2

Taken from a distance of 3.7 billion miles (3,700,000,000),  given the craft and on board camera were made a few decades ago, but realistically speaking could a powerful telescope from another solar system, 1,400 light-years away, which is 8.4 Quadrillion miles (8,400,000,000,000,000), really do any better? If they didn’t know exactly where the earth was; they could have thought that Voyager 1’s picture of earth was no more than “debris”. Given the literally astronomically 8.4 Quadrillion miles (8,400,000,000,000,000) they haven’t got a chance of detecting an earth-like planet in another solar system and know for a fact it is habitable.

Mercury’s transit of the sun

Another example of how small planets are in comparison to a star like the sun; is the Mercury transit of the sun as seen from earth.

mercury 2

Mercury is less than half the diameter of the earth and so would block about a quarter of the light of the sun as earth does.

However as Mercury is about a third of the way out from the sun than the earth is, from our perspective on earth; Mercury would appear to us possibly a third smaller than the earth would do from farther out in the solar system and then going farther out both would gradually become invisible, Mercury first then earth.

Mercury the enigmatic puzzling mystery planet

Even though Mercury is one of Earth’s closest neighbours it is a bit of a mystery, there are a lot of differing ideas about it and it still puzzles astronomers;

The Sky at night 8/5/16

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock starts off with;

Mercury the most puzzling planet in the solar system.

Mercury has long been seen as an enigmatic planet.

It remains the problem child of the solar system.

Co-presenter Chris Lintott

The core is one of the great mysteries of Mercury. (7 min)

All this despite the fact astronomers have observed Mercury with earth based telescopes and bounced radar pulses off the planet with the Arecibo radio telescope. (3 min)

And Mercury has even had; two missions visit the planet, the first was Mariner-10 in 1974 and again in 2011, when NASA’s MESSENGER probe visited it making high-definition images.

As Co-presenter Chris Lintott said; there is only so much we can tell by observing from earth. To learn more about Mercury, we need spacecraft data. (4min)

So despite being so close to earth to be able to bounce radar pulses off the planet and two probes having been sent to Mercury it is still a great mystery and puzzling to astronomers, and we can’t send probes to other solar systems for the needed spacecraft data, that still leaves astronomers puzzling, which doesn’t bode well for the other-earth hunters!

Then we have

NASA’S new Horizons probe to Pluto

Before the new Horizons probe visit to Pluto the declassified planet to a dwarf planet, we had pictures or images of Pluto and even landscapes;

pluto artist

pluto land

However most people wouldn’t be aware that the only real image of Pluto before NASA’s New Horizons probe reached Pluto was this blurry, grainy image; ;

pluto shrunk

Given the above blurry, grainy image of Pluto was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope from a distance of 3 billion miles and Pluto is a small dwarf planet, but even if it were earth sized it would be just a larger grainy image with absolutely no definition to indicate what kind of planet it is like and these beautifully detailed images of these suggested earth like planets are 8.4 Quadrillion miles away!

The blurry, grainy image wasn’t made public knowledge or at least made practically clear until NASA’s New Horizons probe was approaching Pluto, then it was made very clear how little was actually known about Pluto to show the importance of the mission, despite the previous lack of information there were some very detailed images of the dwarf planet. They are called artists impression’s which as it turns out were based on nothing but imagination or in other words were fakes.

We now have we are told real pictures or images of Pluto and even landscapes, which are somewhat different;

pluto and moon 2

pluto land new

Also as the probe was approaching Pluto late in 2015, we were informed how little we knew about the planet Pluto, years after Kepler and all the other telescopes were apparently detecting earth sized planets thousands, of millions, of millions of miles away, with greatly detailed images. Yet we knew very little about the planet Pluto in our own solar system, that’s really amazing. . Charon is one eighth of the mass of Pluto (ten times the relative mass of our moon) and consequently Charon isn’t even Pluto’s moon as Charon doesn’t orbit around Pluto, which makes them binary dwarf planets. The probe has brought up even more mysteries, and again we get statements like we are going to rewrite the book on astrophysics again.

pluto blue haze shunk

Interestingly Pluto has a blueish haze as seen from NASA’s New Horizons, but Pluto’s surface is ice made up of nitrogen, methane and carbon monoxide, and Pluto’s atmosphere is a problem for them as there is no oxygen, yet it has a blueish haze which is another mystery!

Pluto’s Hazes are a bit of a Beautiful Mystery NASA

So a bluish colour does not indicate a habitable planet or a breathable atmosphere. Which again doesn’t bode well for the earth like planet hunters.

The moon an essential for life on earth

Its visible area is less than 1/13 of earth

So small but crucial

Do We Really Need the Moon? 3/1/2011

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock

Most know that the moon gives us tides due to its gravitational pull, but that is just one reasons why we need the moon. For those who believe in evolution the tides created by the moon are essential for the start of early life;

Early tides may have been the trigger that kick started life into action.

Pro John Sutherland believes the ebb and flow of the tides may have played a crucial role in the origin of lifeHe then shows how he thinks the building blocks for life developed, essential for the first part of the evolutionary theories development of life (a myth but for those who believe evolution essential, see evolution verse logic).  We are making some of the building blocks of life. Yes! Just from simple tidal conditions and simple chemistry. And it’s all driven by the moon? Yes. Life on earth driven by the moon. (17min)

The earths tilt gives us the seasons, it’s the moon that gives the earth its 23 degree angle of axis and keeps it in place.

The earth only stays at this 23 degree tilt because of the moons stabilising effect. This has played a crucial role in shaping our climate. If the earth wasn’t tilted, if it were upright, then the sun’s light would shine evenly over the surface throughout the year. Always overhead at the equator, and barely reaching the north and south poles. The temperature would be constant throughout the year, there’d be no summer or winter. No variation at all. It’s this variety of light that’s so important. (40min)

Without the moon we would have no seasons that life on earth depends on. The life cycle of so many animals and plants is driven by the beat of the seasons.. But the earth only stays at this 23 degree tilt because of the moons stabilising effect.

Even if the Moon were just 10% farther away or moved its orbit 10% away earth would greatly suffer; We may suffer the same fate if our Moon moved just that 10% further away. And what will happen then? It’s possible we’ll go the same way as Mars. Pretty quickly the ice caps would melt. And a huge amount of fresh water would flood the world’s oceans. Sea levels would rise by more than 60 metres. Every coastal city in the world would be gone. And inland areas that survived would be transformed…

Quite a bleak outlook for earth and probably most if not all life already existing on earth would not survive a change, but then she continues for those who believe in the theory of evolution; the seasonal shifts will be too fast and too extreme for evolution to keep pace. So basically with the evolution theory; evolving organisms could not deal with the extremes in temperature, so if the moon wasn’t in the right orbit originally then life would not have developed.

However the Moons existence, size, mass, axis obit, speed of orbit and distance from earth are just a few of the vast amount Goldilocks criteria needed to be met for life to be on earth, that are not even considered by those who say they have found other Earths, without these criteria being met life on earth would not exist in the first place and if any of these changed life would become extinct. It is total foolishness to even think that another planet is earth-like without taking the moon into consideration and Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock seems to agree that the moon is so vital that it should be part of the criteria;

All this speculation makes me realise how lucky we are that the moon is where it is right now. A tiny shift and life on earth could be so different. And what about life beyond earth? Are we alone? Or are there other planets with life forms similar to ours? … (48min) I reckon, given what we now know about the moon, how it’s influenced life here on earth, I think we should focus any searches on planets with moons like ours. There are many moons in the solar system, but they are not like ours. She goes on to say how our moon is unique in our solar system; It’s not too big and it’s not too small. Like Goldilocks and the porridge, it’s just right. Although she still hopes that another earth is attainable.

For billions of years it’s gazed down on us shaping and changing the course of life. In so many ways the Moon has been the making of us…

Do We Really Need the Moon? Of course we do.

So as it’s crystal clear that we need the moon for so many reasons to exist, and as Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock stated; we should focus any searches on planets with moons like ours, so why then has not one so called earth like planet ever been mentioned with the existence of an orbiting Goldilocks moon!

The Sky at night 20/7/2015 Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock

Our moon is 1.2% the mass of the earth… it’s the biggest ratio of all other major planets. It is certainly big enough for its gravity to have an impact down here. And the tide is just the most visible consequence.
earth and moon 4

The obvious answer is that as they can’t optically see planets the size of the earth 8.4 Quadrillion miles away, so how ON EARTH can they see a moon at that distance, when 3.67 moons would fit across the diameter of the earth, or to put it another way; the cross sectional visible area of the moon is smaller than 1/13 of the earth and a mass 1.2% of the earth, and to be able to establish all its criteria needed to be like our moon? The answer they can’t and never will, so the hunt for another earth is a non-starter, unattainable, a total flop.

The requirement of a Goldilocks moon with all of its vital benefits to the earth and a Jupiter like plant as an earth like planet’s protectorate (which should be visible) are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the needed criteria for a truly Goldilocks earth like planet and enabling the earth to be habitable.

Our solar system is unusually orderly

Horizon: Secrets of the Solar System 3/3/15

Astronomer Chris Watson, a planet hunter.

Speaking of the planets they have discovered by the transiting method, Astronomer Chris Watson shows a comparison on a large projection screen of the earth in our organised solar system as the odd one out to a mass of other really weird solar systems, that clearly shows how special our solar system is and states; What you can see is a huge diversity of all the different planetary systems… really weird solar systems … it is ridiculous, actually, what is going on? Extraordinary worlds. (32min) That’s a statement from a planet hunter.

really-weird

Our solar system is in top left corner showing only the four inner planets, clearly organised orderly and the others systems are clearly really weird solar systems.

really-weird-3really-weird-2

The Narrator Ruth Wilson stated that the others; they break every rule in the book and make us look like the odd one out. So we have large gas giant planets… and then you can see the really short period, really weird solar systems. They really don’t look anything like our own solar system. Some of these planets actually have orbits of just a few hours. There’s even systems spiralling around multiple planets. Astronomer Chris Watson  Who knows what we might discover in this smorgasbord of planets?

The inescapable truth seems to be that planets move. And if it can happen in exoplanetary systems, it can happen in ours… once we accept the idea that planets can move, we can begin to explain some of the unsolved mysteries of the solar system. In particular, why Mars is so small and the curious composition of the asteroid belt. (42min) And it is thought that Jupiter was pulled in towards the Sun and removed a mass of material that would have contributed to Mars being a similar size and mass to earth, however its thought that Jupiter would have kept going towards the sun, becoming a hot Jupiter and even affecting the development of earth, if not for Saturn being pulled in and then pulling Jupiter back out to its present position by gravitational forces and in doing so caused the ice and rock asteroid belt. Seems strange, but if this theory is correct then the earth and all life on earth have another protectorate in Saturn, the planet that keeps the king Jupiter in its place. What are the odds of that happening by chance and again in another solar system, because the only example we have of a planet with life is earth and Jupiter is vital for us? It seems like things have been arranged, just so for life to exist and when things started to go astray they were corrected!

solar-system-earlier-3 solar-system-earlier-4

Then in summing up we have statements that our solar system compared to the other solar systems is a the oddball, a fluke, the only one with the lucky roll of the dice, that It’s amazing we survived at all and so our solar system is unique.

What we see in our own solar system is the result of a lot of unlikely or random events, and so our solar system is unique. Dr Hal Levison (56min)

Ending up with a stable system of planets was just a fluke, a lucky roll of the dice. It’s amazing we survived at all. The fate of the entire solar system, including the earth, was defined above all by our gas giant Jupiter. Of all the planetary systems so far discovered, it seems we are the only one with the lucky roll of the dice. Narrator Ruth Wilson

You might think that maybe the solar system that we have here is actually the oddball and the natural order of things are these other systems that we think of as weird. Dr Kevin Walsh      (58 min)

That reminds me of Brian Cox (covered in evolution verses logic)

Professor Brian Cox, Wonders of the Solar System BBC 2, 2010

At the start of part 3; amongst all these wonders sits our earth an oasis of calm amid the violence of the solar system… unique atmosphere … perfectly balanced…the slightest changes… can lead to violent worlds. And although he speaks through the series of evolution with its if’s, perhaps and possibilities, in part 4, on the subject of our violent universe he states; our home is a very special ball of rock, although it’s governed by the same universal set of rules; our planet is not too big, not too small, not too hot, not too cold. Earth has been called the goldilocks planet, because everything is just right, our world is unique. He finishes with our view of the earth’s place in space has been turned on its head….and so I suppose it’s in many ways a miracle that it exists at allSo he’s hit by the awe and uniqueness of our earth and he feels he’s required to state that he thinks its existence is in many ways a miracle

So compared to other solar systems our solar system looks so orderly, it is a the oddball, a fluke, Of all the planetary systems so far discovered, it seems we are the only one with the lucky roll of the dice, that It’s amazing we survived at all, our solar system is unique and the existence our earth is in many ways a miracle. It is so unique, so miraculous it’s like it was designed and created that way, it just seems so perfect.

And with comments like the oddball, the only one, unique and a miracle about our solar system and our earth from the above professionals’ one would conclude that our solar system is the only one to have an earth like planet, because it’s unique and a miracle. So logically according to the above professionals there are no other planets like earth. From a biblical point of view Almighty God may have created other earth like planetary systems, but He hasn’t told us, yet and if they do exist the chances of man finding any on his own are non-existent.

So let’s see some of these claims;

Of earth like planets

The first Second Earth

The search for the first “Second Earth” was over.

Planets that remind us of the earth

These were the claims in 2008, with Gliese 581c 20 light years away and this one had quite a lot of press and headline News coverage.

Horizon Are we alone in the universe? 29/2/2008

In the opening words; Planets that remind us of the earthThe discovery of Gliese 581c is a marvellous discovery. It shows how close we’re getting to planets that reminds us of earth. (2min) Showing this massively huge blob in front of a star, which is hardly how a second earth would be seen if it were possible to be seen from thousands of light-years away;

Then the head line images are shown;

gliese-581c-write1

gliese-581c-write2

Astrophysicist Prof Stephane Udry

Speaking of the ESO’s La Silla 3.6m telescope; With this instrument we can detect low mass planet five, ten times the mass of earth. (24min)

So it seems strange that he stated that the European Southern Observatory, in the Atacama Desert, which has a very large telescope that can detect planets as small as ten times the mass of earth, which is huge compared to earth so logically it can’t detect earth sized planets then, strange as that is what Gliese 581c and d were apparently supposed to be! Par for the course, I suppose, strange though!

Orbiting a red dwarf star a third of the mass of our sun. After years of hunting, the search for the first “Second Earth” was over. This latest find has set the world of astronomy alight. (27min)

Gliese 581c. The smallest and most earth like exoplanet yet detected

At last, scientists have found another planet that may just be capable of supporting life. (29min)

It’s strange that they can make the claim the search for the first “Second Earth” was over when they can only say it may just be capable of supporting life. If it’s not know if there is life on the supposed planet, as life is essential for a planet to be earth like! As its millions, billions of years of life that clears the atmosphere and makes our air clear and breathable for other life and it’s the remains of life over time that makes basic things like soil for other life to be able to live and grow, for yet other life. I know they can’t know if there is life, but I just had to point out the obvious flaw in these foolish statements. They have a blip on a graph which could be a plant, which could be rocky, which could have water, which could have an atmosphere and so on and on….

However then they changed their minds about Gliese 581c because aparently; The planet is so close to the star that immense gravitational forces have united the two. They’re tidally locked with the planet presenting just one face to the light. (32mins)

There were several sugestions then they said; Rather than resembling Earth, 581c could be a super Venus. (38min)

It’s probably too hot to be habitable. If it has water at all which is doubtful, that water would be boiled off, evaporated and gone.

gliese-581c-a

Then they said there’s another planet;

Then they discovered a second super earth in the same system; Gliese 581d. This world lies on the far cold edge of the habitable zone. On first calculations this would make it a giant frozen world. But if it too enjoys a greenhouse effect, then it could be just warm enough for liquid water.

gliese-581c-b

There are always lots of ‘probables’, ‘if this’ and ‘could be’, not very scientific though. So one is probably too hot to be habitable and the other a giant frozen world great, so not a; Second Earth at all and they are not; Planets that remind us of the earth.

And the following image is how they imagine Gliese 581d would look like; a giant frozen world, and so not another earth.

gliese-581c-b2

So neither suspected object that is thought to be a planet is The first Second Earthand of course all these images in reality are just figments of their imagination in over drive and it’s all a bit of a mess.

Kepler

Later on the presenter stated that the new Kepler … from day one, it will be sensitive enough to detect the wink of an earth-sized planet crossing its sun, tens of light years away. (45min) Years later the same thing is said of Tess.

Then a footage was shown of a planet which the first two pictures below are taken from, they show images of a planet so large it doesn’t just dim the light it totally blocks out all the light from the star, as the planet is so huge it dwarfs the star! That’s just ridiculous, the only way one could get this image is if you were relatively close to the proposed planet and not thousands of light-years away and the subject is about a detecting a tiny wink of a planet seen from earths Kepler satellite thousands of light-years away.
eclipse-star

eclipse-star-2juoiter large to small

The truth of the matter is a planet like earth (the last picture) would be optically invisible as a planet and the only possibility of detection from such a distance would be of an unspecified blip on a graph, if at all, there would be nothing to get any details from, and if it were a planet the size of Jupiter that dip or dimming of light would be less than 1%, however the earth has a cross-sectional area 121 times small than that of Jupiter, so the detectable dip in light would be 121 times smaller again, as shown in the last picture of the ratio of the sun and earth. The pics above are clearly artist impressions, but portrayed in such a manner to give credibility to these outrageous claims of having the ability to find another earth, even portraying what it is supposed to look like, which is impossible, disgraceful.

Despite the fact that there were no actual real evidences of anything like another earth or signs of alien life, the presenter then makes the most outrageous statement with no basis what so ever; Between them, the planet hunters are beginning to define the first galactic map of earth like worlds. At last, a phone directory for those listening for a message from ET, (46min)

Dream on; the reality couldn’t be farther from what is shown and said here, and if there are earth like planets out there no planet hunters will probably ever know, as the fact is they are just too small, and will most likely never be visible enough to get anything like the amount of detailed information required, which point will be expanded latter.

And still no mention of a Goldilocks moon or a Jupiter like plant as an earth like planet’s protectorate and so on which are all so vital for life.

Then there were some more false hopefuls;

BBC. The Sky at Night, Second Earth 12/11/15

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock

We are all desperate to find an earth like planet.     (1 min)

We’ll be examining some of the latest discoveries made here at the Cambridge Exoplanet Research Centre. And finding out how the hunt for a second earth a habitable planet like our own is coming along.

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock speaking to the man who discovered one of the first planets 20 years ago by the star wobble method; 51 pegasi b which is a hot jupiter;

Prof Didier Queloz, University of Cambridge; We can do earth right now… (using) a slight change of the light. A dimming of the light of the star, like a cloud hiding us the sun. We can use that to get the size of the planet as well as the period (rotation about its axis) of the planet. We can also combine the two, you can get the mass from the radial velocity and you can get the size from the transit. And we are doing that today to get the density of the planet. And the density helps you to understand the structure of the planet… Do you think we will find another earth? Oh Yes, I mean, we have found already earth-size planet, or earth-mass planet, most of them they; aren’t exactly earth equivalent because very often they’re too close to the stars, much too hot. So we don’t really know what we’re finding these days. But we have planet in all, in all size, in all masses, and in many different kind of structure from the one we have in the solar system. So we’re finding more and more and hopefully, that um, another earth will be out there one day. Oh, yeah, … maybe there are solar system equivalent just waiting for us to be found. (6min)

Co-presenter Chris Lintott; As we hunt for another earth we have to think about what it is that we are really looking for. What is it that makes a planet earthlike? Is it rocky? Is there liquid water on it’s surface? What gravity would it have? And would we be able to breath if we were standing on the planet? (8 min) The problem is they can’t detect any of these things on such a small scale as an earth like planet, they are just too small, it’s difficult enough to know if a blip is actually a planet, that is not factual, it’s just infered which is no more than a belief.

Detecting planets by the dimming of a star;

The graph above was highlighted by Co-presenter Chris Lintott.

This was in connection with a possible discovery of a Super Jupiter, it shows a stars brightness over time and an irregular dimming of 20% of the star (the stars type and size not specified), the time between dimming’s and length of dimming can give an indication of the size of the object(s) that is blocking the light from the star and the distance of the object(s) from the star. It cannot however show exactly what that object or objects are, just that the stars light has been restricted by something, one could infer a few other things though. (Covered latter)

However I know Chris Lintott was not suggesting that this was anything to do with earth like planets, but this method is how claims of earth like planets are made. So if we compare the dimming of the above (assuming the star is similar to the sun) to that of our Jupiter which would dim a sun like star by only 1% (and the above is 20% or put another way 20 times larger), which is interesting as the programme is supposed to be explaining how earth like planets are found.  Anyway Jupiter is 20 times less than the above and an earth type planet would dim a sun like star 121 times less yet again than that, so an earth like planet would be dimming the star by 2,420 times less than the above graph! The people claiming to have found earth like planets don’t seem to be forthcoming with the facts of how minutely small the data is of these so-called earth like planet finds and that it’s just a tiny blip on a graph, I wonder why. Well not really, because it’s so minuscule to non-existent and that just may be why they don’t want to, as people would think it’s ridiculous, I do.

Continuing; BBC. The Sky at Night, Second Earth 12/11/15

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock; Kepler-452b 1,400 lightyears away. It’s probably the most earth like planet we’ve found so far. It’s a rocky world that’s in the habitable zone of its parent’s star where there could be liquid water. But there’s still a lot we don’t know about the planet, for example what its atmosphere made of.

Its Tess planet finder launches in just two years’ time. Its mission is to detect small planets orbiting bright host stars. Bright stars will reveal more detailed information about their planets, enabling us to better identify those that are truly earth-like(17 min)

Which is what NASA stated; Tess will identify planets ranging from earth-sized to gas giants… in the solar neighbourhood…so that detailed characterizations of the planets and their atmospheres can be performed. NASA

Yet they said something similar about KeplerKepler’s objective is first to find out if planets like earth” a the BBC News stated Kepler; Launched march 2009 to try to find earth-sized worlds orbiting their host stars in the habitable zone.

Back to; BBC. The Sky at Night

With the above comments of; enabling us to better identify those that are truly earth-like planets is shown a planet orbiting a star;

           juoiter large to small

Which is truly not an earth like planet! This is an image of a planet so larger it’s a Super Jupiter or larger, which is very deceptive and compare it to our earth and the sun in the second picture that’s if you can see it, its total hype. Tess maybe more powerful than Kepler and it may detect much larger planets like Super Jupiter’s but not earth-like planets that are not optically visible, possibly a tiny blip on a graph but not enough to get any details to gain factual information to be able to truly an object is a habitable earth like planet, this is a disgrace.

What about the atmospheric composition

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock; Even if we find another rocky planet, just like ours, orbiting a star similar to ours, even orbiting at the right distance, there’s another piece of information we need before we can confirm we’ve found another earth. And that information is the atmospheric composition of that exoplanet. And rather astonishingly we’re doing just that. Chris has been doing just that talking to Nikku Madhusudhan, who is leading the research into exoplanet atmospheres here at Cambridge. (23 min)

Co-presenter Chris Lintott; So we’ve discovered all of these planets, we know, I dunno, what size they are, what mass they are, but it’s not really enough. Do we have any prospect of trying to understand that? To, to investigateing these planets properly?

Dr Nikku MadhusudhanSo the way you do that is, you know transiting planets, for example, what the transit method is when the planet’s star system is aligned in such a way that you can infer the planet going in front of the starYeah, we see these dips in the starlight. As it turns out, the dip in the starlight is just a little more if you have an atmosphere on top of the planet. Because the atmsophere blocks the light from the star as well. Yeah, ye ah, but the key is that the atmosphere blocks the light in some wavelengths and not others. He later states this is with super hot Jupiters. And so that means if you have a transiting planet you can say something about what its atmosphere is made of. Exactly you can infer its chemical compositionYep, so the exoplanets, um, that we are most able to study today are the big and hot ones. It’s because the bigger the planet, the bigger the starlight you’re blockingYeah the bigger the dip, so it’s just easier to find them. And hot because the hotter the atmosphere is the more puffier it is. Hm. Right, so, so the bigger it is…  so most of the results to date have come from these objects called hot Jupitersthese are planets at a few thousand degrees

So definitely not earthlike planets then!

Time and again plenty of talk about earthlike planets, but no proof, lots about super Jupiters, especially big hot ones, but not incy winsy little earth like ones to see, they are just too small to see or detect with all the criteria needed.

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock; To me it seems amazing we’ve come so far in just 20 years. Going from no planets to about 2,000 now! (27 min)

Co-presenter Chris Lintott And turning them from just points on a graph, from just data, to real places with atmospheres, and rain, and even clouds to annoy astonomers!

Yes the super big Jupiters thousand of degrees hot. The program made several attemps to suggest that there are ways to detect earth like planets, but nothing of any worth came out of it, they are still hoping, finishing with;

Presenter Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock; What I’m fascinated by is if we did find an earth-like planet, I mean, even signs of life what would we do then?

 Co-presenter Chris Lintott; We’d have to go, wouldn’t we? If you looked at the sky and yoou could say that star has an earth-like planet, the right temperature with life in its atmosphere you’d have to send a probe. It’d take thousands of years to get there! We still should send something, I mean, may be not us….

This program started with; we are all desperate to find an earth like planet, Do you think we will find another earth? midway we had hopefullyanother earth will be out there one day, then Even if we find another rocky planet, just like ours and finished with; if we did find an earth-like planet and I mean, even signs of life. Well life is an essential for a planet to be habitable, earth took millions or billions of years before man could exist on it, the creation is a wonderfully complicated thing!

I do like Maggie Aderin-Pocock, even though she really wants earth like planets to be found, it’s refreshing to see a scientist speak so frankly that we haven’t found earth like planets.

So to conclude;

 Despite all the claims and hype in the news and the mass of programs on the subject, without question man has NOT found any earth like goldilocks habitable plants in other solar systems and he is not likely to either, because yet again it’s all about the super big hot Jupiter’s and not about the minuscule” “debrisearth sized plants.

The general idea is that they believe life evolved on earth and so it could have on many other planets and they are desperately hoping it has, however see; Creation – Evolution versus logic and you will see that’s not true, it’s just a fairy tale. So unless Almighty God has developed other planets as He did with our earth, other earth like planets are not possible.

Indeed what the search for earth like planets has really proven is that the odds of our planet without divine intervention being a Goldilocks planet in the first place and then remaining for billions of years is literally impossible, it’s just too miraculous and is a further evidence of the existence of Almighty God’s design and workmanship. It’s in part their attempt to ignore the existence of God, if they can just find one other planet like ours with life then it would be in their opinion finally one in the face of the existence of God, finally justification. Whether one believes in God or not that attitude is total foolishness.

God

Who is God

First it must be noted;

That there are many gods

The Word of God the bible states that Satan is a god;  2 Cor 4:4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. NLT

In fact there many gods; 1 Cor 8:5 …there are many such gods…. 6 yet we have but one God, the Father, who is the source of all things… Weymouth Ex 20:3 You shall have no other gods before Me. NKJV

Christ is even called: Mighty God; at: Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born*, unto us a son is given… Mighty God… 7 … The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. NKJV [Scofield KJV ref: * “Christ”]

Notice that Christ’s name shall be called… Mighty God indicating he becomes Mighty God [he hasn’t always been Mighty God] and also that: The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this, and The zeal of the Lord of hosts will be seen later to be Almighty God the Father and it is Almighty God the Father who makes Christ Mighty God. It must be stated when that Christ becomes Mighty God and he is still subject to Almighty God his God and Father, to accomplish his Fathers will.

As there are many gods how do we distinguish God the Father from the many gods? Who is God the Father, some say He is a trinity of gods and that Christ is God or part of God, this is referred to by Sir Isaac Newton as a “corruption of Scripture” that’s covered in; Trinity, a pagan doctrine. Some say He has no name just LORD as in the New-King James Version states at; Ps 83:18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD… or that His name is just Almighty God, or that His name is too sacred and must not be used, in fact all these false beliefs are still preached today in most churches despite the fact that God does have a name and requires his faithful worshipers to use that name.

What makes things worse is that within a few hundred years of the apostles’ deaths, God’s Word was restricted to the Latin language, in the form of Jerome’s Latin Vulgate and the name of God that was used over 7,000 times in the original Hebrew and Greek was removed completely. Then for more than a thousand years the bible could not be read in peoples own languages and His name was not read or heard, as with the English language due the Orthodox Church restricting its translation to Latin so that ordinary people were ignorant of God’s name.

An introduction to God

However a little over 480 years ago one English man didn’t agree with that and that man was William Tyndale who translated and printed the most important and earliest versions of the Bible into English, so that the common people could read and understand the bible themselves, without the corruptions in interpretation of the church who used bibles in Latin that could only be quoted by the clergy, in order that the church could dominate the congregation with false teachings of hell fire, purgatory and the trinity. Thankfully some of Tyndale’s Translations just survived the persecution from the Orthodox Church and the Crown, surviving partly due to the printing press having just been invented, so partly due to the large number of bible copies printed, unfortunately William Tyndale who was considered the most dangerous man in England didn’t survived and was killed in 1536, not a nice death. William Tyndale is in my book one of the most important men since the times of Christ and his apostles as William Tyndale is also credited with translating God’s name from the Hebrew form of the Tetragrammaton into English as; Jehovah. Often considered a modern day Americanism but the name Jehovah was coined by the English man William Tyndale in 1530 and it was the Orthodox Church that deprived us of its usage.

Almighty God’s name Jehovah distinguishes Almighty God by that name from all other gods, who are minor gods hence the small ‘g’, the use of the name Jehovah also clearly highlights the distinctions between Almighty God Himself and His first created heavenly Son who later was sent to earth and became known as Jesus Christ (see; Trinity, a pagan doctrine).

The name Jehovah first appeared in Tyndale’s English Bible in 1530 20 times, when he published a translation of the first five books of the Bible. Tyndale’s translation was the basis of the Matthew’s Bible and the later King James Bible even though he wasn’t credited for it and even today it still isn’t widely acknowledged, apparently it makes up for about 84% of the King James Bible. The Old King James Bible used the name Jehovah in only four places and only in the Old Testament, the most famous being; Ps 83:18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth. KJV It’s interesting to note that where it says; ‘That men may know’ which seems rather casual, is from the Hebrew word; ‘yada’ and literally means ‘to know’ and so in the Hebrew it’s more of an absolute requirement, as the previous verses clearly show this to be the case of ungodly men; Ps 83:16 Fill their faces with shame; that they may seek thy name, O Lord. 17 Let them be confounded and troubled for ever; yea, let them be put to shame, and perish. KJV.  And where in verse 16 it’s written “O lord” it should be Jehovah’s name as it is in the Hebrew scripture, as with Young’s Literal Translation; Ps 83:16 Fill their faces [with] shame, And they seek Thy name, O Jehovah. Disgracefully the New-King James Version has removed God’s true name completely.

There is a parallel here with some who seek in vain for Jehovah’s name due to being ungodly man and those who know and use it, when compared with the teachings of Christ: Matt 13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand… 16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. NKJV

Surely to take God’s name out of His Word the bible, the principle is the same as at: Rev 22:19 if any man takes away from the words of this book, God will take away from him his part in the tree of life BBE. And again if anyone takes anything out of the Word of God, particularly of all things His Name or refuse to use it as it was written they are like Saul at; 1 Sam 15:23 Because thou hast rejected the word of Jehovah, he hath also rejected thee… ASV

Also now it’s been established that Almighty God the Fathers’ name is Jehovah it can be seen that at Isa 9:7 where many bibles use the wordszeal of the Lord of hostsaccording to the Hebrew it should read: The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts [doth this]. YLT, which clearly identifies that Christ’s becoming; Wonderful, Counsellor, mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, is given to him by his Heavenly Father Almighty God Jehovah and Jehovah is the source of Christ’s authority.

Christ is given position and power to fulfil his fathers will but eventually once completed Christ returns that authority to his Father as shown at; 1 Cor 15:28 When everything and everyone is finally under God’s rule, the Son will step down, taking his place with everyone else, showing that God’s rule is absolutely comprehensive — a perfect ending! THE MESSAGE

Pronunciation of Gods’ Name

The original pronunciation in the early Hebrew has been lost as what we would call vowels in English is not in the copies of the later Hebrew, in part because the scribes became superstitious about what would happen to them if they were to make an error in copying God’s name. Today there are mainly two different versions of how God’s name is written and pronounced, the main difference is if a “Y” is used as in “Yahweh” or more often in English a “J” is used as in “Jehovah“, the “Y” is taken from the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) which is in the Hebrew translations. There are other pronunciations; Yehwah, Yehwih, Yeho·wah, Yahuwa, Yahuah, Yehuah and others.

So which one is correct, well if Almighty God required a specific pronunciation of His name there is no doubt that the whole of the original Hebrew word would be preserved, with its true original pronunciation and so we would have it and use it. That not being the case then possibly Yahweh is the closest to the Hebrew, but since the fact that William Tyndale introduced us to God’s name in English over 480 years ago as Jehovah and its usage in the most famous and the most published book of all the King James Bible, and added to that in English as we use a ‘J’ in Jesus which is taken from God’s name (meaning; “Jehovah Is Salvation”) so Jehovah would be correct, otherwise we have to call Jesus; Yahshua and that would confuse most people.

Interesting are the comments in the New Catholic bible, what a shame that they don’t use it themselves!

A gift of a name, a sign of friendship and yet most who profess to worship Almighty God refuse to use it. Whether one uses the pronunciation Yahweh or Jehovah it should be used, not to would be insulting.

There is a great deal of ignorance, misinformation and insulting beliefs taught about our loving, caring Creator, which doesn’t stop at not knowing and using His name, it is widely taught and believed it most churches that Jehovah God causes mankind pain and suffering and takes our loved ones away from us,

See; Does God give and take away?

But it doesn’t even stop there many bibles wrongly translate the Hebrew word; Sheol and the Greek words; Hades, Gehenna and even Tartaros as hell and most churches teach hell fire. So they teach that once God has taken our loved ones away these churches teach that God torments them in purgatory then hell. They also teach that all these things were God’s original purpose for mankind.

See; Life, Death and after life

What a disgusting insult to portray our loving Heavenly Father, Who has shown such abundance in loving care and attention in His grand creation of our beautiful goldilocks planet earth, the abundance of life, and what about the ever increasing information we are discovering about the complexity of life itself like DNA.

See; Creation Evolution versus logic.

Then there’s the Genesis creation account it’s treated as a quaint story by most religions and discarded, when in fact it is accurate and supported by the fossil record and DNA, as you will know if you have seen Creation, Evolution verses logic. Which leads us into creation by God the Genesis account itself.

Faith

Faith

Is Faith just a belief or is it more?

 Could it ever be factual?

The scripture generally quoted is Hebrews 11.1

Heb 11:1 Faith is the confidence* that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. NLB

Heb 11:1 And faith is of things hoped for a confidence*, of matters not seen a conviction YLT

Heb 11:1 Now faith is assurance* of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. WEB

Heb 11:1 Now faith is assurance* of (things) hoped for, a conviction of things not seen. ASV

My comments in blue, Scriptures & quotes in black, references in green.

The above versions however are so feeble and indecisive, it makes faith seem to be baseless, just a feeling for things hoped for, no evidence can be seen, and this encourages blind faith, based on nothing! It’s possibly why some say “I have faith I don’t know why, I just know”. That’s not my kind of faith, it isn’t just a confidence or even just an assurance.

The reality is so different, Christ Jesus indicated at Luke 6.48 that people who do according to his word; which is the actions of faith, because they have laid a foundation on the rock, they dug and went down deep that requires effort, hard work, now that’s a solid foundation on rock that’s what true faith is based on.

Lu 6:47 Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man who in building a house dug and went down deep and laid a foundation on the rock. Consequently, when a flood came, the river dashed against that house but was not strong enough to shake it, for it was well-built. NWT

*The Greek word at Heb 11:1 is; hupostasis; a setting under (as in support) or (figuratively; concretely, essence). So similar to; Luke’s 6:47 laid a foundation on the rock.

Another bible version uses the word substance which is better;

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance* of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen KJV

What is most important and not generally understood about Hebrews chapter eleven is the theme which is; the fulfilment of the promise and that promise is of  the resurrection.

The theme of the fulfillment of the promise is shown by the introduction at Heb 10.36 with the preserving of our lives and Heb 11.40 because God had foreseen something better for us, so that they might not be made perfect apart from us, both clearly referring to the resurrection of sinful, but faithful worshipers;

By faith; Heb 11:4 Abel; 5 Eʹnoch; 7 Noah; 8 Abraham; 11 Sarah… 13 In faith all of these died, although they did not receive the fulfillment of the promises as they are still waiting their resurrection by God.

Heb 10:35 Therefore, do not throw away your boldness… 36 For you need endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the fulfillment of the promise… 39 Now we are not the sort who shrink back to destruction, but the sort who have faith for the preserving of our lives.” That’s through the resurrection, then through the chapter it speaks of people doing things by faith; 4 By faith Abel offered God a sacrifice…and although he died. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was tested. But not receiving the promise; 13 In faith all of these died, although they did not receive the fulfillment of the promises; but they saw them from a distance… And then; Heb 11:39 And yet all of these, although they received a favorable witness because of their faith, did not obtain the fulfillment of the promise, 40 because God had foreseen something better for us, so that they might not be made perfect apart from us.”

It must be stressed that what is not seen (at the end of verse one) is not the basis of faith, it is the fulfilment of the promise which is the resurrection and that earthly resurrection isn’t seen until the last day; John 11.24 Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” So at the time of the apostles no-one had seen evidence of any of the faithful sinful mankind being resurrected to heaven or to a paradise earth as neither had been prepared. Of course some believe their loved ones have already been resurrected and are looking down on them, however this is wrong: 2 Tim 2:18 They have left the path of truth, claiming that the resurrection of the dead has already occurred; in this way, they have turned some people away from the faith. NLT

Christ showed us; that our faith is based on a solid foundation, as shown at Lu 6.48; laid a foundation on the rock and this is similar to the Greek word translated by some bibles at Heb 11.1 above as; confidence, substance and assurance, and it is vital to understand what faith is based on, that word is; hupostasis the meaning of which is; a setting under (support), indicates a solid foundation and one of the translated words is; essence; which has a dictionary meaning of; the intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something, in Philosophy a property or group of properties of something without which it would not exist or be what it is. This clearly shows that faith is based on a foundation the realities of which we can see, seen through scripture and science which itself is increasingly showing us that things are far more complicated than ever thought and scream Creator. The fact that faith is based on a solid foundation which was laid by Christ is again shown in scriptures;

Col 1:23 provided, of course, that you continue in the faith, established on the foundation…

1Co 3:11 …no one can lay any other foundation than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

So it is clear faith is far more than the above scriptures of Heb 11.1, as these indicate;

Heb 11:1 Now faith is a well-grounded assurance of that for which we hope, and a conviction of the reality of things which we do not see. 2 For by it the saints of old won God’s approval. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds came into being, and still exist, at the command of God, so that what is seen does not owe its existence to that which is visible. Weymouth

Heb 11:1 Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities that are not seen. 2 For by means of it, the men of ancient times had witness borne to them. 3 By faith we perceive that the systems of things were put in order by God’s word, so that what is seen has come into existence from things that are not visible. NWT

So Hebrew chapter 11 is talking about the subject of the resurrection to perfect everlasting life either earthly or heavenly and how our faith has strengthened God’s faithful worshiper to look forward to receiving the promised resurrection. How our faith is built on a solid foundation of knowledge of the realities we can see through the first part of Heb 11.1 and Christ’s own words at Lu 6:47, 48. The apostles saw Christ resurrected, however Christ was perfect unlike the ones referred to at Hebrews 11 the faithful ones who had died, imperfect mankind receiving the promise given to sinful mankind of the resurrection, and that resurrection in verse one is what is not seen.

Our faith is precious and more valuable than worldly gold;

1 Peter 1:7 in order that the tested quality of your faith, of much greater value than gold that perishes despite its being tested by fire, may be found a cause for praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 Though you never saw him, you love him. Though you do not see him now, yet you exercise faith in him and are greatly rejoicing with an indescribable and glorious joy, 9 as you attain the goal of your faith, your salvation. Again faith is linked to ones very existence.

Rom 1:20 For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable.

I have researched many scientific subjects with an open mind as I have no intention of fooling myself or others and I’ve also spoken to scientists and evolutionists who can be quite dismissive about religion, but soon realize that they can fool some people some of the time, but not those who have done the research, it’s great to see the look on their faces when they are confronted with some real scientific facts, it’s just simple logic, and not forgetting the research into God’s Word on the Genesis creation account, bible prophecies fulfilled, and the wisdom of God’s Word in general has increased my faith and conviction, it has shown me in great detail how deep and strong a foundation ones faith should be built upon.

However now there is more. The existence of a loving caring God and our faith in God is not only based on Biblical belief, prophecy, beneficial guidance and pure logic of scripture alone thanks to scientific advances it is now scientifically factual. As there is no other way we could exist without our creator, take DNA and its extreme complexities which could not exist without God’s superior knowledge and craftsmanship. In part it has been due to man’s arrogance to try and disprove God’s existence that they have provided the evidence that actually proves His existence.

As an example; Computer code doubles in complexity every bit or step, whereas DNA quadruples every strand, so at only twenty strands of DNA and twenty bits of computer code; a computer has a million possible combinations, but DNA has over a trillion combinations or to put it another way; by twenty strands DNA is a million times more complicated than a man-made computer, or you would need a million computers at 20 bits of code side by side to be equal to 20 strands of DNA. Or by converting computer data into DNA all the data that is on the internet could be stored in a container the size of a shoebox.

See; evolution versus logic.

&

See; Space the final frontier.

And the existence of our Goldilocks planet in our unique organised solar system, in a universe that has just the right physical laws to make its existence possible is nothing short of miraculous. With quotes from the experts: the solar system that we have here is actually the oddball, So our solar system is unique, and of our earth; I suppose it’s in many ways a miracle that it exists at all, we appear to live in a perfect universe with the perfect numbers, the perfect constants of nature, the perfect laws. Of course they have to believe in their theories as they don’t want to acknowledge the existence of God as with quantum mechanics when it was said; because otherwise it just seems though um it’s a bit miraculous that the universe seems to have started out with the right laws and the right conditions.

Just the complexity of DNA along puts a very bright new light on the need of design requiring a Designer, a supreme intelligence has to be its cause, one has to admit that it is a miracle that we exists at all. In science the word fact is used far too often for things that clearly are not facts, as there is not a shred of real evidence, however now the weight of scientific evidence is so great to prove God’s existence, it is so overwhelming so that God’s existence cannot be viewed as nothing short of a fact.

Faith has become so much easier and stronger.

God’s existence is now a scientific FACT.

Life

Life and Death what are they

Hell is it real?

And is there life after death?

Where Heaven or Earth?

Life what is it

First it must be said that it was never God’s intention that mankind should grow old and die, we were designed to live forever, here on earth in paradise and if Adam and Eve had used their free will correctly we wouldn’t be in this mess. This can be easily seen at Gen 3:22 where God stops Adam and Eve eating from the tree of life which He had given to them and their offspring to enable them as it says ‘live for ever’ here on earth in paradise, but that was only if they stayed faithful to Almighty God as stated at; Gen 2:17 basically that if they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and then they shalt surely die.

My comments in blue, Scriptures & quotes in black, references in green.

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest there of thou shalt surely die. KJV

Gen 3:22 now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever KJV

Oh and some people say it wasn’t such a big deal that they took some fruit? Well yes it was, stealing from God was an act of disobedience to God after all He gave them, they had everything they could possibly need and they still stole from Him! There were no other people in existence, so God said but that’s mine, don’t take, and don’t eat. Not much to ask and paradise wouldn’t be paradise if everybody stole so God gave them a little test and He knew if they failed that little thing then they would not be fit to live in paradise, because with them in paradise it wouldn’t be paradise for long.  And in time they showed how right Almighty God was; because that was just the start of man turning away from Him, one generation down and brother is killing brother (and paradise wouldn’t be paradise with murderers in it) and it has just snowballed downhill ever since.

Gen 4:8 Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him NKJV

There is also a bigger issue here that is covered in; ‘Does the Lord give and the Lord take away?’

However even though mankind is in this sorry state we still have the desire to live forever and God wouldn’t have given us that desire if it wasn’t possible to obtain;

Ecc 3:11 God has planted eternity in the hearts of men The Living Bible

So what is life; a human life, what is a human being or a soul? We can see this from when God created Adam; God formed the body of Adam from the dust, God then ‘breathed into the man’s nostrils the breath of* life; and the man became** a living soul‘, notice God did not put a soul into Adam.

So a live human being or a human soul is; the combination of our body and the breath of life force from God.

Gen 2; 7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of* life; and man became** a living soul.  KJV+ RV

Gen 2; 7 Yahweh God shaped man from the soil of the ground and blew the breath of* life into his nostrils, and man became** a living being. The New Jerusalem Bible

*Hebrew; neshamah; a puff, wind, vital breath

**Hebrew; hayah; to exist, be or become

So at Gen 2: 7 the words where; ‘God … Formed the lifeless-body – Breathed – Into its nostrils – The Breath of – Life – and the man – BecameA soul – alive’

The importance of this is that God didn’t put a soul into Adam’s body and we don’t have a soul in our bodies; as a live human being or a human soul is the combination of our fleshly body and the breath of life force from God.

Death what is it?

So now that we know a live human being or a human soul is; the combination of our fleshly body and the breath of life force from God. What happens when we die or to put it another way; if one is taken away?

Ps 146:3, 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. RV, KJ, ASV

If one is taken away then we don’t exist in any form what’s so ever, our breath of life goes out and our thoughts do perish. We don’t exist, but this wasn’t God’s intention for us to grow old and die, there is hope through Christ.

Many religions get the condition of the dead wrong, that a person or soul does existing after death is totally wrong and because anyone can take a single scripture out of context to try and prove otherwise here is a long list of scriptures and as usual from many bibles to clarify the issue;

Eze 18; 4 Behold the soul that sinneth, it shall die. KJV

Eze 18; 4 Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinningit itself will die. NWT

 Eze 18; 4 the soul that sinneth, the same shall die. Douay-Rheims

Ge 2: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you are not to eat; for, the day you eat of that, you are doomed to die. 3: 17 … you return to the ground, as you were taken from it. For dust you are and dust you return. New Jerusalem

Ec 9; 2 All things come alike to all: there is one event to the righteous, and to the wicked; to the good and to the clean, and to the unclean; to him that sacrificeth, and to him that sacrificeth not: as is the good, so is the sinner; and he that sweareth, as he that feareth an oath. 5 For the living know that they shall die; but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love , and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. 10 Whatever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. KJV

Ps 104:29 if you turned your back, they’d die in a minute, Take back your Spirit and they die, revert to original mud MESSAGE

Some may say how about scriptures that state ones spirit returns to God?  Well the Hebrew word her is; Ruwach; meaning; wind or breath, it’s in a way God’s power but more, it’s His active force, it’ similar to the Gen 2; 7 Hebrew word; neshamah; the breath of life,

Ec 12; 6 … remember your creator now while you are still young, before the silver core of life snaps … 7 the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit(breath) returns to God who gave it. 8 All is futileutterly futile. Living Bible

* Hebrew; Ruwach; meaning; wind or breath

Ps 146; 4 spirit** goes out, he goes back to his ground; In that day his thoughts do perish. NWT

**Footnote Breath

Job 14; 10 a man dies, and that is the end of him Good News

Ro 5:14 Nevertheless, death ruled as king from Adam down NWT

But don’t be too depressed; death does not rule as king forever;

1 Cor 15; 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death NRSV

So it can clearly be seen from the Scriptures above that we simply do not exist after death, there is no thought, no knowledge, and no pain. But a person can still be in God’s memory and God can resurrect that person.

 So what about Hell, is it real?

It’s an insult to suggest that our loving heavenly Father Jehovah God would burn people in Hell and forever!

At death the soul doesn’t exist and our thoughts do perish, the dead do not know anything, so this idea of a place of tormented souls is false, it’s ludicrous, but what about those scriptures that talk of hell?

The word Hell is a poor translation of the Hebrew word; Sheol* and the Greek word for Sheol; Hades** and even; Gehenna*** and even Tartaros which a state that sinful angels were placed.

Sheol and Hades are poorly understood as even in Strong’s where the meaning is; the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat), including its accessories and inmates. This is clearly wrong according to scripture and is translated wrong as; grave, hell and pit in the King James and many other bibles!

* Hebrew; she’owl; or sheol; from; Hades or the world of the dead (as if a subterranean retreat),

** Greek; haides; “Hades” or the place (state) of departed souls: but this contradicts its next statement; from NT:1 (as negative) and the Greek; eido; to knowSo as it’s a place or state as; negative to know, this part is correct; it’s in harmony with; Eccl 9:5 the dead know nothing, NKJV

In the above section ‘Death what is it’ the Scriptures clearly show that we simply do not exist after death, there is no thought, no knowledge, and no pain after death, so Hell does not exist and is not a place of suffering, so we should simply understand that the bible meaning is at death mankind go to the grave, not an individual grave, but the common grave of mankind as in; returning to the earth; Ps 146:4 or For dust you are and dust you return; Gen 3.17.

Ps 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. KJV

Eccl 9:2 All things come alike to all: One event happens to the righteous and the wicked; To the good, the clean, and the unclean; To him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice. As is the good, so is the sinner; He who takes an oath as he who fears an oath. 5 For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun. 10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave* [Sheol] where you are goingNKJV

Gehenna; Jesus told his disciples that they would be persecuted due to their preaching work, but Jesus told them not fear man but God; Matt 10:28 do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell*** [Gehenna]. NKJV So again the bible is stating that it’s not just the body that is destroyed at death; but the complete soul. The point of the scripture is that if man kills, then a person dies; but that person can still be in God’s memory and God can resurrect that person, but if a person dies because of judgement of sin by God then there is no resurrection.

*** Gehenna is an actual place; the Valley of Hinnom, south west of Jerusalem;

***Gehenna a name for hell; Greek geenna, from Hebrew ge’ hinnom ‘hell’, literally ‘valley of Hinnom’, a place near Jerusalem where children were sacrificed to Baal. ED

The Jews in the first century time period well knew what Gehenna was and that in their time it was used as a rubbish dump, which constantly burned with fire and was also used to discard the dead bodies of criminals.

The idea of burning people in Gehenna was bad in Jehovah’s eyes, a detestable thing that had never come into His heart or mind; He had driven this pagan practice out of Israel;

2 Chron 33:1 Ma·nas′seh … reigned for 55 years in Jerusalem. 2 He did what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes … 3 He rebuilt the high places that his father Hez·e·ki′ah had torn down, he set up altars to the Ba′als and made sacred poles … 6 And he made his own sons pass through the fire in the Valley of the Son of Hin′nom; he practiced magic, used divination, practiced sorcery… He did on a grand scale what was bad in Jehovah’s eyes, to offend him. NWT

Jer 32:28 Therefore thus says Yahweh: 35 They built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech; which I didn’t command them, neither did it come into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. WEB

2 Chron 28:3 Moreover, he made sacrificial smoke in the Valley of the Son of Hin′nom and burned up his sons in the fire, following the detestable practices of the nations that Jehovah had driven out from before the Israelites. NWT

Tartaros; This is a word again wrongly translated as hell at 2 Peter 2:4, it’s a mental state of mind rather than a place where the beings are still alive, and is only used in connection to the sinful angels of Noah’s day who were the sons of God that desired the daughters of men and so took human form at; Gen 6.2;

2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell****, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.  KJV

**** Greek Tartaro; (the deepest abyss of Hades); to incarcerate in eternal torment

Gen 6:2 that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. 4 There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. NKJV

And the same angels are spoken of at Jude 6;

Jude 6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. NKJV

Abyss; Another word that that is used in connection with imprisoning of sinful angels is the Greek word; abussos; translated as; abyss and the deep.

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss***** and a great chain in his hand. NWT

Luke 8:30 many demons … 31 And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss***** NKJV

***** Greek abussos; depthless, “abyss”

The God of justice: Another point to consider is that Jehovah God is the God of love and justice. The idea, the very thought of a fiery Hell created by God is ridiculous. One of Almighty God’s prime qualities after love is justice, as in the punishment should fit the crime and where is the justice in God punishing someone in a fiery Hell for ever. Can any human be guilty of keeping someone conscious in an agonising fire forever and ever or do anything like that to another human being? No of course not, so that punishment would not be justice and The God of Justice would not and could not ever do that.

Ps 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is filled with Jehovah’s loyal love. NWT

Ps 33:5 He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh. WEB

Job 37:23 Understanding the Almighty is beyond our reach; He is great in power, And he never violates his justice and abundant righteousness. NWT

Job 37:23 “Mighty God! Far beyond our reach! Unsurpassable in power and justice! It’s unthinkable that he’d treat anyone unfairly. THE MESSAGE

Is there life after death?

As said above; it was never God’s intention that mankind should grow old and die, we were designed to live forever, here on earth in paradise. But because our ancestors Adam and Eve sinned this hasn’t changed God purpose for the earth and for the future of those who are faithful to Him, after all it’s what we pray for; Mt 6:10 Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth. So even when Satan or man tries to do things their way for the detriment of mankind; God’s will or purpose will always succeed;

Hosea 13:14 ‘I will deliver them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death… TNIV

Mat 22:31 ‘But about the resurrection of the dead, have you never read what God himself said to you? [Ex 3:6] “I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob”? He is not God of the dead but of the living.’ NEB

Luke 20:37 “But now, as to whether the dead will be raised—even Moses proved this when he wrote about the burning bush. Long after Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had died, he referred to the Lord as ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ 38 So he is the God of the living, not the dead, for they are all alive to him.” NLT

So simply to answer the question is there life after death the answer is yes there is life after death, the dead have the opportunity of a resurrection, but one has to look deeper into scripture to understand the full truth, as there are so many false teachings.

First there is a belief that one dies and then is taken directly off to heaven or hell, well as discussed hell doesn’t exist, but let’s look at this taken directly off to somewhere. After Jesus cured a man and told him to; “Rise, take up your bed and walk”; he told the Jews;

John 5:28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves* will hear His voice 29 and come forthNKJV

Notice that Jesus said of the resurrection that all who are in the graves*; the hour is coming, so the resurrection was to be in the future and also later Paul said; there will be a resurrection of the dead so again in the future.

Acts 24:15 [Paul] I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead…  NKJV Written 65 CE by Paul, so Paul was looking to a future time.

This idea was also known by Martha when speaking to Jesus of Lazarus, but she stated when the resurrection was to be, and that was in the future; at the last day, far into the future;

John 11:23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. NKJV

And again; Acts 2:34 For David didn’t ascend into the heavens, but he says himself, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit by my right hand, 35 Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”‘ WEB

So this belief that one dies and then is taken directly off to heaven or somewhere else is incorrect, false!

But John 5:28 also stated; all who are in the graves* will hear His voice 29 and come forth, so this raises two questions; will all who have died and gone to the grave be resurrected and how can the dead that ‘know nothing’ and do not exist; hear His voice?

Well the word graves here in The New King James (which is sometimes translated as tombs in some bibles) is not in the original Greek, it’s a word that is rarely used which is; “mnemeion” meaning; a remembrance or memory.

* Greek; mnemeion; a remembrance, from; Greek; mneme; memory.

This is similar to the idea a Cenotaph a place not of the dead but to remember the dead;

Cenotaph; a monument to someone buried elsewhere, especially a war memorial. ED

The word is similar to; mnemoneuo which is used at;

Mark 8:18 Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember**? KJV

Matt 16:9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember** the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? KJV

**Greek; mnemoneuo (mnay-mon-yoo’-o); to exercise memory

The New World Translation has the closest translation of the true meaning of the text; John 5; 28, 29 the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice …and come out NWT

The remembrance or memory is referring to all those in Gods memory as;

John 5:21 For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will.  22 For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son… 26 For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, 27 and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. 28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves*[memorial tombs] will hear His voice 29 and come forth…  NKJV

So when it comes to the resurrection of mankind the grave is nothing but a symbol, the literal grave has nothing to do with it, the resurrection is the loving action of The All Mighty God Jehovah who has in His memory all those loyal to Him and they are all alive to Him. So they hear His voice in the sense that to Him they are alive because; Ex 3:6 He is not God of the dead but of the living.’ NEB and as John 5; 28, 29 does not say ‘grave’ but says; memorial tombs it’s not all those that have gone to the grave; but only those God chooses to remember due to their heart condition; Jer 17:10 I, Jehovah, am searching the heart, Examining the innermost thoughts, To give to each one according to his ways, According to the fruitage of his works. And it’s also worth mentioning that some will assume to have a resurrection but Christ said; Mt 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

It’s always good to know and remember that Jehovah is; Ps 7:9 the righteous God who examines the hearts and the deepest emotions. It’s at times like this I think of ones who have been stumbled. I literally pray and thank God that He examines Hearts and deepest emotions, as man cannot. See; Stumbled

Also one of the above scriptures make a strange statement it’s at the end of John 5:28, so we’ll cover that next;

The last part of John 5:28

Resurrection of life and

resurrection of condemnation

John 5:28 Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 and come forth — those who have done* good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done** evil, to the resurrection of condemnation NKJV

This seems at first strange for good people to be resurrected to life; but then for bad people to be resurrected only to be condemned to die again, that can’t be right for Jehovah God is; The God of love, justice and forgiveness, and a closer look at the Greek words for ‘done‘ show errors in translation and all the translations that I’ve checked have used one or two of the following words; Lived, been, did, practised, and done.

However in my research I have found that where as all the bibles used words that are past tense as in; have done, the first word in the Greek is; poieo* and has the meaning; to make or [to] do and the second is; prasso** and means; to practise and [to] perform repeatedly or habitually. All these are future tense as in; I am going to make, going to do, to practice and to perform and not past tense.

The condemnation in Greek is; krisis means; decision, a tribunal, so judgment

So that being the case the scripture should be translated as; those who will do good things to a resurrection of life, and those who will practice (repeatedly or habitually) bad things to a resurrection of judgment. Indicating there will be a testing period after the resurrection and a subsequent judgement.

So this fits in with Rom 6:23 For the wages paid by Sin are death Weymouth The debt of any previous sin having already been paid, one can’t be punished again or twice for the same sin, the slate is clean. Rom6:7 one who has died has been acquitted from his sin NWT

Also this fits in with Revelation where Satan is released for a time after the thousand years and allowed to tempt the earthly resurrected ones, who are then finally judged for their conduct during that time after their resurrection. Some actually turn on those faithful to God, which is astounding and also total foolishness, having been resurrected to perfection and to still turn against God!

Rev 20:7 Now as soon as the 1,000 years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison… 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations 13 and they were judged individually according to their deeds NWT

This also is in harmony with, but coming  from a different angle as; it-2 p. 789; Jesus … taking a … position in time in speaking of “those who did good things” and “those who practiced vile things,” namely, a position at the end of the period of judgment, as looking back in retrospect or in review of the actions of these resurrected persons after they had opportunity to obey or disobey the “things written in the scrolls.”

Where are the dead resurrected?

To Heaven or Earth?

To the Jews the people of the Old Testament the idea of going to heaven was alien to them, they knew that Adam and Eve were meant to live here on earth in paradise forever; Ge 1:28 ‘Be fruitful and become many, fill the earth and subdue it’ and that they too would have that same prospect here on earth and that God was going to in time remove the wicked;

Ps 37:10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. KJV

Ps 37:29 The upright will have the earth for their heritage, and will go on living there for ever. BBE

Pr 2:21, 22 . . .For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it. 22 As for the wicked, they will be cut off from the earth, And the treacherous will be torn away from it. NWT2013

Isa 45:18 For thus says Yahweh who created the heavens, the God who formed the earth and made it, who established it and didn’t create it a waste, who formed it to be inhabited: I am Yahweh; and there is no one else. WEB or;

Isa 45:18 …He didn’t go to all that trouble to just leave it empty, nothing in it. He made it to be lived in. THE MESSAGE

They also knew that Almighty God is always true to His Word and He will do exactly as promised and the earth will be restored to paradise as in Eden;

Isa 55:11 So also is my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It shall accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. 12 You will live in joy and peace. The mountains and hills, and the trees of the field – all the world around you – will rejoice 13 Where once there were thorns, fir trees will grow. Where briars grew, myrtles trees will sprout up. LB

One of the first indications of a heavenly hope or resurrection was in Christ’s early ministry at Matthew chapter 5 in verse 3 he said;

Matt 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven KJV

Interestingly most bibles use the word ‘poor’ in this verse however Greek word is; ptochos; to crouch; a beggar, so they are not lacking in spirit, they are begging for spirit, or looking to God for guidance. Here’s a better version;

Mt 5:3 Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the Kingdom of the heavens belongs to them. NWT2013

So verse 3 shows some have a heavenly hope, but then in verse 5 Christ clearly states that others have an earthly hope as they will inherit the earth, so there are two different hopes of the resurrections or two different groups;

Matt 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. KJV

So why do some have a heavenly hope and others an earthly hope? Because when Adam and Eve sinned Almighty God had to put in to place a sequence of events (including a chosen nation of Israel) to correct the situation leading to an intermediator Jesus Christ, who would become both King and Priest to accomplish the removal of Satan and those that follow him and oversee the restoration of paradise and of faithful servants to a clean standing with Jehovah. To accomplish the latter Jehovah provided Christ with helpers from earth also to become kings and priests, this can be seen at Re 5.10;

Re 5:10 and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings* over the earth.” The word ‘over’ in this scripture is miss-translated in most bibles and as ‘on’ as inon* the earth, however the Greek word here is; epi means; superimposition or over. Which makes sense as Matt 5:3 says of this group; theirs is the kingdom of heaven which is in heaven.

*Greek; epi; means; superimposition which means to; place or lay (one thing) over another; over

Another scripture showing the two different hopes or groups is at Re 7: 4, where those with the heavenly hope are given a specific number of 144,000 and then in verse 9 a different group, an earthly group; are called a great crowd, which no man was able to number, these were standing before the throne, or before Jehovah as at 2Ch 20:13; the nation of Israel stood before Jehovah (they were still on earth), whereas the 144,000 are clearly in heaven, as at Re 14.1 shows them withthe Lamb standing on Mount Zionand verse 3 states ‘the 144,000, who have been bought from the earth’;

Re 7: 4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed, 144,000, sealed out of every tribe of the sons of Israel… 9 After this I saw, and look! a great crowd, which no man was able to number, out of all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb

Re 14:1 Then I saw, and look! the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 …  3 …the 144,000, who have been bought from the earth.

2Ch 20:13 Meanwhile, all those of Judah were standing before Jehovah, along with their little ones, their wives, and their children. . .

The bible states that the 144,000 rule for a thousand years we aren’t told any more of what they do next, but it’s probably because everything will be back to God’s original paradise and there wasn’t any mention of there being Kings in paradise and the priest were due to man’s sin or imperfection and the need for intermediaries and mankind would be perfect by then.

Re 20:4 And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for 1,000 years

There are other scriptures showing a difference of the two groups; Lu 12:22 Then he said to his disciples… 32 “Have no fear, little flock, for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom. Affectionately talking to the apostles calling the heavenly group; little flock as the apostles are the starting point or  foundation stones of the heavenly 144,000; Re 21:14 … 12 foundation stones, and on them were the 12 names of the 12 apostles of the Lamb.

On another occasion speaking of the earthly group;

Joh 10.16 “And I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; those too I must bring in, and they will listen to my voice

So to answer the question; where are the dead resurrected to Heaven or Earth, the answer is both as it can clearly be seen there are two groups; the first group will be to heaven a relatively small number of 144,000 who will be kings and priest with Christ. The second group will be the vast majority of those to gain a resurrection the great crowd who will live here on earth, to a restored earth, a paradise as God originally intended.

Stumbled

My research has led me in the past to some very scriptural encouragement from Jude when I really needed the support and the following is my biblical research from several years ago, plus some even more rather surprising scriptural insights that is controversial but never the less from the Word of God, which is as we know the basis of true faith and for setting things straight and if Almighty God has included the following in His Word the bible for our instruction then it must be covered for all to benefit.

To have a part or to contribute to the purity of the worship of Jehovah God is the greatest honour anyone can possibly have in life. I have suffered the mistreatment by some who are covered in this section and almost stumbled, but as it eventually led to this insight then I suppose it’s worth it.

 My heart goes out to you if you have been stumbled and possibly due to no fault of your own, or even dealt with harshly, if so please take another look, the following is God’s Word, He’s said that these things will and do happen and they can make some very bitter towards the truth as they don’t know where or who to turn to, but these things are not from God, He has warned us about it and will deal with the perpetrators in time, but for now He says remember the words of Christ and please comeback.

Luke 17:1 Then he said to his disciples: “It is unavoidable that causes for stumbling should come. Nevertheless, woe to the one through whom they come! 2 It would be more advantageous for him if a millstone were hung from his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to stumble one of these little ones. NWT2013

There have been a few occasions when I personally have received opposition or persecution in my faith and on one occasion I was nearly stumbled out of the truth. I had begun doing more than I had ever done in the ministry and loving it, with many bible studies and deep research, the hard thing for me was where the persecution was coming from; those responsible (no names) were eventually dealt with (but that wasn’t the first occasion or the last). In the mean time I was given timely help which I can only call divine; I was asked to give a talk on the highlights of Jude, of all accounts at that time why Jude. Now I had no real idea of the contents of Jude, just 25 verses long and I have never heard it explained in detail as it should be, it may be short but it’s very powerful. Having studied it I thought; how can I possibly stand up and give a talk on Jude, the content is so controversial and I was let’s say quieter back then, well I did the talk and the letter of Jude helped me greatly and over the years my ministry, study and deep research has drawn me closer to Jehovah, and where as I used to be nervous on the platform, no more, I love it, I felt I had something to contribute due to in part my research and ministry, and my faith is unbreakable now. I hope it will help you too;

The talk;

The letter of Jude.

It’s appropriate that Jude is the last book before Revelation as it’s a book of warning to the Christian congregation today!

Notice in verse 1 Jude’s humility although a half-brother of Christ he calls himself, a slave of Jesus Christ, but a brother of James. He could have said I’m Christ’s Brother, I’m important but no Jude’s humility contrasts greatly with whom he speaks of.

But first to show the gravity of the situation and for those he is going to warn us about; an outline of Verses 511; Jude says that he has a desire to remind us God saved his people out of the land of Egypt and afterwards destroyed those not showing faith…then of…the angels…that…forsook their own proper dwelling… and… Sod´om and Go·mor´rah… fornication … the path of Cain… course of Ba´laam …talk of Ko´rah!… judgments **… punishments.

Cross ref ** 2 Pe 2:9 reserve unrighteous people for the day of judgment to be cut off.

Now to the point; Jude in verse 3 said he wanted to write to up build; Beloved ones, though I was making every effort to write YOU about the salvation we hold in common… but he stops here and changes course, but why couldn’t he go on?!

He continues; I found it necessary to write YOU to exhort YOU to put up a hard fight for the faith that was once for all time delivered to the holy ones. The cross ref. there is;   Eph 6:11 Put on the complete suit of armor from God that YOU may be able to stand firm against the machinations of the Devil.

He goes on to say that this is within the congregation, but why put on armour within the congregation, surly when you walk through the door you take your armour off! And what is Jude warning about!

We will see in verse; 4 My reason is that certain men have slipped in who have long ago been appointed by the Scriptures to this judgment, ungodly men, turning the undeserved kindness of our God into an excuse for loose conduct (this loose conductis not limited to acts of sexual immorality… but… disregard for (Jehovah’s) standards, laws and authorityW73 9/15 as with the; course of Ba´laam …talk of Ko´rah) 4 continues; and proving false to our only Owner and Lord, Jesus Christ. Or to God’s word the Bible. 12 These are the rocks hidden below water in YOUR love feasts while they feast with YOU, shepherds that feed themselves without fear13 wild waves of the sea that foam up their own causes for shame; stars with no set course, for which the blackness of darkness stands reserved forever.

Vines Dic. says …Stars of Jude 13, false teachers…as if the stars intended for light and for guidance (of the congregation), became the means of deceit

16 These men are murmurers, complainers about their lot in life, proceeding according to their own desires, and their mouths speak swelling things, while they are admiring personalities for the sake of [their own] benefit.

What about us? 17 As for YOU, beloved ones, call to mind the sayings that have been previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

What does the faithful and discrete slave say on this matter? Never doubt this: There is no circumstance in life but what God’s Word, the Bible, has principles for guiding, enabling the Christian to be “fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.”

So, there is never just cause for leaning on one’s own wisdom in counseling. Rather than getting off onto tangents due to personal ideas ….by staying clearly within the limits of Scriptural counsel. W73 8/15

If our counsel to others is based simply on our own conscience or opinion, we are bound to mislead themeven cause much damage. W77 12/1

Prov. 3:5“Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, And do not rely on your own understanding.”

One of the people in connection with my problem asked another shepherd ‘is he having a go at me’ the reply was ‘he’s just quoting scripture’! Nice one bro.

Additional;

In verse 12 the shepherds are called; rocks hidden below water or in other words they are stumbling blocks and 16 proceeding according to their own desires; they are only interested in themselves and again they are admiring personalities for the sake of [their own] benefit and they should be for light and for guidance Vines; but without any concern for their flock they stumble them. Again Jude in verse 24 mentions stumbling again; 24 Now to the one who is able to guard you from stumbling and to make you stand unblemished in the sight of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord

Notice that Jude does not say that these shepherds and stars are necessarily removed from the congregation! As Jude goes straight from verse 16 describing these ungodly men to 17 As for YOU, beloved ones, call to mind the sayingsof our Lord Jesus Christ, so if you are having problems from this source it may not be sorted and you may have put up with it and keep your armour on, stay faithfull! Also in the next verse it confirms that this is for our day; 18 how they used to say to you: “In the last time there will be ridiculers, following their own desires for ungodly things.”

Of course this attitude of some shepherds has been around for thousands of years, and Jehovah has warned of them before; the cross references of Jude 12 are; Eze 34:7 “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of Jehovah: 8 my shepherds did not search for my sheep; rather, they kept feeding themselves and did not feed my sheep 10…‘I am against the shepherds, and I will demand an accounting of them for my sheep, and I will dismiss them from feeding my sheep 15  but the fat one and the strong one I will annihilate. I will feed that one with judgment.” And;

Re 21:8 But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and the sexually immoral and those practicing spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This means the second death.”

It’s interesting that most versions of the bible omit the word ‘shepherd’ completely from Jude; such is the dominance of man.

Jude certainly puts a new light on scriptures like; Acts 20:28-30 to shepherd the congregation of God oppressive wolves will enter in among you from among you yourselves; it’s clear that this warning is that some of the appointed overseers or shepherds will be oppressive wolves as it says to them from among you yourselves.

Acts 20:28 Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers, to shepherd the congregation of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own Son. 29 I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness, 30 and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.

1 Peter 5:1 Therefore, as a fellow elder, a witness of the sufferings of the Christ and a sharer of the glory that is to be revealed, I make this appeal to the elders among you: 2 Shepherd the flock of God under your care, serving as overseers, not under compulsion, but willingly before God; not for love of dishonest gain, but eagerly; 3 not lording it over those who are God’s inheritance, but becoming examples to the flock.

2 Peter 2:1 However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you. These will quietly bring in destructive sects, and they will even disown the owner who bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves.

Mat 13:25 While men were sleeping, his enemy came and oversowed weeds in among the wheat and left… 30 Let both grow together until the harvest

The holy spirit has appointed you overseers

It’s been pointed out by some elders; that elders are appointed by holy spirit and so one must never question the word or decision of an elder as if their word is gospel or that this might grieve the holy spirit or Jehovah God. Well the context shows that this is not the case as Acts 20:28.29 clearly states that some of these holy spirit appointed men will not treat the flock with tenderness, will speak twisted things and will be oppressive wolves. And Jude states of this same class of men;  4 My reason is that certain men have slipped in who have long ago been appointed by the Scriptures to this judgmentungodly men. Then in verses 511 Jude speaks of the wicked who were similarly minded and punished.

They may be appointed by holy spirit, but some are appointed by the Scriptures to this judgment of being ungodly men and will be punished accordingly. And Jude 1As for YOU, beloved onescall to mind the sayings … of our Lord Jesus Christ. So again the faithful would ignore anything not in harmony with God’s Word.

So clearly respect is required to biblically based council but ALL things must be proven to be biblically based and thoroughly accurate to the Word of God without any personal bias on the part of an elder.

So if some shepherd or let’s say it; elders are classified as ungodly men how about; Heb 13: 17 Be obedient to those who are taking the lead

Do we according to God’s Word have to be obedient to appointed elders, Carte blanche!

Hebrews 13: 17

Be obedient to those who are taking the lead

Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who are taking the lead among you, who have spoken the word of God to you, and as you contemplate how their conduct turns out, imitate their faith. 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, and forever. 9 Do not be led astray by various and strange teachings… 17 Be obedient* to those who are taking the lead** among you and be submissive, for they are keeping watch over you as those who will render an account, so that they may do this with joy and not with sighing, for this would be damaging to you. NWT2013

The word; obedient is translated as; Obey in most versions but both have the meaning of submission to authority.

Heb 13:17 Obey your prelates** [Bishop], and be subject to them Douay

Heb 13:17 Obey those who rule over you**, and be submissive, NKJV

An interesting scripture often quoted, however the word ‘obedient’ or ‘obeyis from the Greek; peitho; it is a primary verb which means ‘to convince’ and not obey! The word ‘peitho’ is used in the New Testament 52 times and in most bibles it’s translated as obey 5 times. The other occurrences are translated as; 22 persuade, 10 Confidence, 9 trust, 3 believe, 2 yield and 1 agree, that’s less than 10% translated as obedient or obey!

With the meaning of ‘peitho’ in mind perhaps a more accurate rendering would be; ‘Give them a chance to convince you those who are taking the lead** among you’. As they may be leaders (leaders by example) but they have to prove what they say originates from God and not from themselves, or else it’s worthless, remember; Acts 5:29 We must obey# God as ruler rather than men. Where the word obey is correctly translated and comes from the Greek word; peitharcheo and means; to be persuaded by a ruler. Interestingly it’s the second part of peitharcheo; archo which has the authority meaning; to be first in rank or power and not the first part; peithSo we do not obey any man only Jehovah our God.

#Greek; peitharcheo; to be persuaded by a rulerGreek; archo; to be first (rank or power)

*Greek; peitho; a primary verb; to convince (by argument, true or false); to pacify or conciliate by other fair means

Convince; cause to believe firmly in the truth of something, or to do something. As in; firm in one’s belief with regard to a particular cause: a convinced pacifist. ED

strongs 3982 obey not

As an example of where and how the word ‘peitho’ is translated;

Acts 19:26 …this Paul has persuaded* a considerable crowd and turned them to another opinion.

2 Cor 2:3 …because I have confidence* that what brings me joy brings all of you the same joy.

Luke 11:22 …that man takes away all his weapons in which he was trusting* NWT2013

Also the context of Hebrews 13:17 clearly shows the translation of the Greek ‘peitho’ as ‘Be obedient’ is totally illogical, contradictory and wrong, as ten verses up speaking of those taking the lead it states ‘Do not be led astray by various and strange teachings’ and this is obviously talking about overseers particularly when we consider other scriptures like; Acts 20:28 Pay attention to yourselves … holy spirit has appointed you overseers … 29 I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness, 30 and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things After such a clear warning about some overseers can the Greek ‘peitho’ be translated anything other than ‘to convince’ as in Give them a chance to convince you by their use of the word of God

Interestingly at Rom 2.8 before the word obey (from Gk ‘peitho’) the word disobey is used which is also questionable as in the Greek the word is; ‘apeitheo’ and means; to disbelieve and not to disobey!

Rom 2:8 however, for those who are contentious and who disobey*** the truth but obey unrighteousness,

***Greek; apeitheo; to disbelieve (wilfully and perversely)

Notice too that some bibles at Heb 13:17 use the words; ‘who rule over you** or similar, when the Greek; hegeomai; means; to lead, as; to bring, drive, as in someone leading you on a journey, but that again is only when they have convinced you that they know the way, the right way, God’s way. Even then they can never command anyone as they are servants. They have the responsibility of keeping the congregation clean and that is only and wholly through the authority of the word of God, by keeping within clear scriptural guidelines.

**Greek; hegeomai; strengthened form of NT:71; to lead, from; ago; to lead; to bring, drive

This is how some bibles translate Heb 13:17;

Heb 13:17 Give ear to those who are rulers over you BBE – Good start, poor finish!

Heb 13:17 Have confidence in your leaders TNIV

Heb 13:17 Be responsive to your pastoral leaders. Listen to their counsel. THE MESSAGE

Some might say; but the scripture goes on to say; and be submissive, this is from the Greek hipeiko which means; to yield. However this is only and wholly if and when the elder or for that matter any other brother or sister has convinced you that what has been said is scriptural and is from God, otherwise they are as the society says are;leaning on one’s own wisdomandbound to mislead themeven cause much damagewhich is disgusting and they can respectfully go and take a run and jump and the respect isn’t for them as they have lost that right. One should only yield to Jehovah and to those who prove they are in harmony with Him, there is no place what so ever for anyone pushing personal preferences on others. 1Th 5:21 Make sureof all things; hold fast to what is fine. 22 Abstain from every form of wickedness *Greek; dokimazo; to test

Don’t get me wrong I have a great deal of respect for most of those taking the lead and but respect is partly for the position and is partly earned, and we all should give and receive respect, then again respect can be lost too, to whoever you are and what ever position you think you have. However the wordpeitho’ is a word of scriptural application through communication, pacification and love, the elder has to be knowledgeable and faithful to God’s Word, but unfortunately the scripture (Heb 13:17) has been used too often for dominance by some.

I have to said to some who have not been relying on the Word of God and literally been dominating to; ‘remember the rider or proviso at; 1 Thes 5:12 presiding over YOU in [the] Lord, for guidance should be only ‘in the Lord’, that hasn’t gone down well with some. It should also always be kept in mind that those being considered worthy of double honour and taking the lead also have a heavier judgement so they have to be extra careful, that also hasn’t gone down well. One can understand it can be difficult for elders to deal with criticisms of some who have fallen into sin and so to have a scripture saying ‘obey me’ gives some more standing, authority or clout, but anyone with that mind of thought shouldn’t be an elder in the first place. An elder should be able to handle the Word of the truth aright and relying on God’s Word to be approved by God and man, and as obey isn’t in the original Greek a good elder should never need to use it, as he is completely equipped without it (2 Tim 3.16).

1 Thes 5:12 Now we request you, brothers, to show respect for those who are working hard among you and presiding**** over you in [the] Lord and admonishing*****you. not forgetting my favourite scripture which should always be added; verse; 21 Make sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine.

****Greek; proistemi; to stand before, (in rank) to preside, to practise

*****Greek; noutheteo; to put in mind, to caution or reprove gently

1 Tim 5:17 Let the elders who preside in a fine way be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who work hard in speaking and teaching.

Interestingly the fact that the above scripture stipulates it’s only elders who preside in a fine way that should be considered worthy of double honor clearly indicates that some would not preside in a fine way which harmonises with Jude’s ungodly shepherds, here again a clear indication that to obey elders is not scriptural.

James 3:1 Not many of YOU should become teachers, my brothers, knowing that we shall receive heavier judgment cross ref; Luke 12:48 …Indeed, everyone to whom much was given, much will be demanded of him; and the one whom people put in charge of much, they will demand more than usual of him. Heavier; Greek; meizon; in greater degree

2 Tim 2:15 Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright.

There are some who consider it a promotion, status, a step up the ladder, it is a privilege and an honour but one should consider it more in a humble way as a step down as an attendant is a servant; Mark 9:34 …on the road they had been arguing among themselves about who is greater. 35 So he sat down and called the Twelve and said to them: “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and minister* of all.”

*Greek; diakonos; (to run on errands); an attendant, a waiter

Most elders are fine examples to imitate in conduct and faith and but it is in some ways in man’s nature to think more of himself, Christ was constantly reminding the apostles to humble themselves, showing them by his own perfect example of humility and these were men taught by Christ himself;

John 13:5 After that he put water into a basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples and to dry them off with the towel that was wrapped around him.

The society has changed the elder arrangement numerous times over the years to try to reduce the possibility one or more dominating the congregation. When it comes to headship may we all never forget the scripture; 1 Cor 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christthe head of the Christ is God. In a way it’s irrelevant whether the scripture says obey or convince that’s if the elder is correctly applying God’s Word, then it is God that one obeys, no matter who is the channel, but may be if we remove this idea of obedience, which can cause or contribute to the them and us attitude in some, then we can have some real progress within the leadership! However De 4:2 You must not add to the word that I am commanding you, neither must you take away from it, so as to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God that I am commanding you.

Thinking of those stumbled ones; another cross references of Jude 12 is;

Eze 34:8 ‘“As surely as I am alive,” declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, “because my sheep have become prey, food for every wild beast of the field … and my shepherds did not search for my sheep; rather, they kept feeding themselves and did not feed my sheep, 10 I will rescue my sheep from their mouth, and they will no longer be food for them. 11 “Here I am, and I myself will search for my sheep, and I will care for them. 12 I will rescue them from all the places where they were scattered in the day of clouds and thick gloom. 13 I will bring them out from the peoples and collect them together from the lands 16 “The lost one I will search for, the stray I will bring back, the injured I will bandage, and the weak I will strengthen

So even though these ungodly men may not be removed from their positions, it’s heart-warming to know that Jehovah does not forget those lost sheep who have strayed due to false shepherds actions, as Jehovah examines the heart;

1Sa 16:7 Jehovah said … For the way man sees is not the way God sees, because mere man sees what appears to the eyes, but Jehovah sees into the heart.

Ps 7:9 God who examines the hearts and the deepest emotions.

Stumbled continued

Philippians

A letter from Paul and Timothy

Php 1:10 that you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ;

Another interesting scripture on stumbling is Philippians 1:10, often used in connection with giving in ‘to unclean fleshly desires’ by ‘brothers and sisters in the congregation (Text for 24 Oct 2015)’, agreed it is upsetting when such cases come to light, but a cause of stumbling not so much. The reason I said it was an interesting scripture is due to who it is addressed to.

Most letters in the New Testament are addressed to a specific a congregation; as in the letters to the Corinthians, Galatians and Thessalonians or a mixture of; to the ‘holy ones’ and ‘brothers’; as in the letters to the; Ephesians and Colossians.

However as you can see below the letter of Philippians is different, it’s tothe holy ones’ … ‘who are in Phi·lipʹpiand more specifically to theoverseers and ministerial servantsand not to the Philippian congregation as a whole.

Php 1:1 Paul and Timothy, slaves of Christ Jesus, to all the holy ones in union with Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, along with overseers and ministerial servants:

So it is to overseers and ministerial servants that Paul and Timothy are addressing the words; to make sure of the more important things which are ‘not to be stumbling others’. It’s the wrong doing of some of theoverseers and ministerial servantsthemselves, those who are supposed to be looked to as fine examples, it’s their conduct and motives that is now being highlighted. Now their bad conduct would cause stumbling, as these are supposedly to be obeyed, well that’s what’s taught. It is a false teaching.

Php 1:15 True, some are preaching the Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter are proclaiming the Christ out of love, for they know that I have been appointed to defend the good news; 17 but the former do it out of contentiousness, not with a pure motive, for they are intending to create trouble for me in my prison bonds.

So some of theseoverseers and ministerial servantsare spoken of aspreaching the Christ out of envy and rivalryandout of contentiousness, not with a pure motiveso basically for their own benefit the same as the shepherds of Jude, in fact this parallels Jude’s letter. Their conduct was stumbling others as they were not making sure of the more important things which was to care for the flock and not to be stumbling.

Paul in verse 9 is encouragingoverseers and ministerial servantsto correct their conductwith accurate knowledge and full discernmentand there bymake sure of the more important things’;

Php 1:9 And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10 that you may make sure of the more important things, so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; 11 and that you may be filled with righteous fruit, which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise.

This applies to theoverseers and ministerial servantsof our day especially as verse 9 statesnot stumbling others up to the day of Christ, but I ask this; how can it be applied in our day if it is NOT being applied as it should be to ELDERS and MINISTERIAL SERVANTS in our day! How can they benefit and how can the congregations benefit from havingaccurate knowledge and full discernmentif these verse are just applied to ‘to unclean fleshly desires’ by ‘brothers and sisters in the congregation’ in general and not to those God intended? It seems that the correct application is being ignored for the letter of Philippians, the same as with Jude is, not forgetting Heb 13:17 Be obedient! Or Acts 20:28-30 to shepherd the congregation of Godoppressive wolves will enter in among you from among you yourselves.

Another interesting thing is that despite the stumbling of theseungodly men(Jude 4) the ministry was successful; ‘Php 1:18 Christ is being proclaimed’;

Php 1:18 With what result? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is being proclaimed, and I rejoice over this. In fact, I will also keep on rejoicing,

Likewise today the ministry is successful, however clearly that alone does not indicate that everything is fine and dandy, that the congregations are healthy, or that stumbling isn’t rampant, and that Jehovah God is pleased!

I used the word rampant, well it would seem that this;seeking their own interestswas rampant in Paul’s day speaking of Timothy he said; Php 2:20 For I have no one else of a disposition like his who will genuinely care for your concerns. 21 For all the others are seeking their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ.

That’s why Philippians was written and just previous to the above verses is the famous Php 2:5 & 6, written to encourage humility and working together for the sake of the lord.

Php 2:5 Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, although he was existing in God’s form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God.

We can all benefit from this but it was written specifically tooverseers and ministerial servantsto follow Christ’s example and there by notseeking their own interests, and thereby notstumbling others’.

Paul finish the main part of the letter of Philippians with;

Php 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things. 9 The things that you learned as well as accepted and heard and saw in connection with me, practice these, and the God of peace will be with you.

I have seen others and also I have been the recipient of abuse by these ungodly men who seem to feel they are untouchable, too many times. Several years ago I was given the talk on Jude to do and that was an answer to prayer and strengthened my faith, and again now. As a result of my research my faith is stronger, and I feel that this could help others who may have been stumbled or seen others mistreated …

1Co 4:6 learn the rule: “Do not go beyond the things that are written

Joh 8:31    If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples. If not;

1Sa 15:23 Since you have rejected the word of Jehovah, he accordingly rejects you.

Sometimes in the Truth this idea of being meek and mild goes too far and there is an air or atmosphere of just do as you are told, obey, well we’re not supposed to be that kind of sheep, baa following blindly. We are required by scripture, by God’s word to test out absolutely everything;

1Th 5:21 Make sure* of all things; hold fast to what is fine.

*Greek; dokimazo; to test

Titus

A letter from Paul

Paul left Titus in Crete so that he could correct the things that were defective in the many established congregations there and to make new appointments of new elders. In chapter one Paul is highlighting elders and states if there is any man free from accusation now there’s a telling statement, as God’s steward an overseer must be free from accusation but in Crete they are deceivers, liars and clearly it’s the elders as they are teaching things they should not for the sake of dishonest gain and there are many rebellious men thus Titus was instructed to keep on reproving them with severity… because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort.

Paul even quotes ‘Creʹtans are always liars, injurious wild beasts, idle gluttons’ which is a quotation from ‘Epimenides’ one of Cretans own poets and apparently the Jews who had previously moved into the area had a worse reputation than the Cretans themselves, these Jews were the basis of where the congregation and it’s elders came from, which is possibly why Paul also said; if there is any man free from accusation!

It is clear that God’s stewards the elders in Crete were failing to lead the congregations in a way pleasing to Jehovah, what they were teaching was subversive, there was no care of the flock they were only interested in themselves as in; for their own dishonest gain. Consequently the congregation would have suffered at their hands and as with the letter to the Philippians and of Jude there would have been stumbling of God’s people by these ungodly men on a large scale and harming the name of Jehovah God in the outside world!

Titus 1:4 to Titus, a genuine child according to the faith … 5 I left you in Crete so that you would correct the things that were defective and make appointments of elders in city after city, as I instructed you: 6 if there is any man free from accusation, a husband of one wife, having believing children who are not accused of debauchery or rebelliousness. 7 For as God’s steward, an overseer must be free from accusation, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy of dishonest gain, 10 For there are many rebellious men, profitless talkers, and deceivers, especially those who adhere to the circumcision. 11 It is necessary to shut their mouths, because these very men keep on subverting entire households by teaching things they should not for the sake of dishonest gain. 12 A certain one of them, their own prophet, said: “Creʹtans are always liars, injurious wild beasts, idle gluttons.” 13 This witness is true. For this very reason, keep on reproving them with severity so that they may be healthy in the faith, 16 They publicly declare that they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort. 2; 1 You, however, keep on speaking what is consistent with wholesome teaching. Similar to Jude; Titus is commended to stay faithful and true.

It’s clear that many had brought into the congregations things from their past, they had slaves and even more than one wife; Tit 2; 9 Let slaves be in subjection to their owners in all things and Titus had to choose elders only if they were 1:6 a husband of one wife. Paul here didn’t state that having slaves or more than one wife was not allowed in the congregation (possibly as some may have been converted with more than one)  but that the latter would not be permitted for an elder, as an elder has greater responsibilities for the congregation and will receive a heavier judgement so he needs less distractions a home, he needs to keep his life simpler for the sake of the congregation, showing all that his focus is on others, on God and not on selfish personal interests. However we all should be reaching out, desirous of a fine work and similarly be keeping our lives simple, focused on God’s will, not on ourselves.

1Ti 3:1 This statement is trustworthy: If a man is reaching out to be an overseer, he is desirous of a fine work.

We are required according to Eph 4:22-25 and Col 3:9; to put on the new personality to; to put away the old personality to put away deceit, each one of you speak truth, the old personality was not to be just put away, so that it can come out again now and again, no but one was to go further, to Strip off the old personality with its practices, in other words to strip it off, tear it up so that it cannot be put back on again, but then some just pretend to.

To summarize it’s clear that there have been and are now today men in the Christian congregation who have been appointed as elders who are not worthy of the position, they lie, deceive, do things for their own benefit, and stumble many. They are called by Almighty God; disobedient detestable ungodly men, and  oppressive wolves this truth is from God’s word.

However there are also many good hearted men who have been appointed as elders who care and work hard for the congregation and who deserve our respect, they gain this by staying within God’s word and acting within His word.

It is also clear that the congregations are not required to obey any elder, but to listen to them IF they are using God’s Word aright and not for dishonest gain.

Conclusion

It’s been over 480 years since Tyndale was persecuted and killed for giving us the Word of God in English and introducing us to the name of Jehovah God Himself in defiance of the orthodox church of the time, who kept the truth from the flock in order to control and dominate it, however even today the congregation is still controlled by being told they have to obey the clergy upper class, unintentionally or not due to translations still not being wholly accurate to the original Word of Jehovah God. On top of the inaccuracy of Heb 13:17 which is an abuse of scripture, assuming Jehovah’s right to exclusive devotion, whole passages of scripture including; Jude, Philippians and Titus sternly warning of bad conduct are still being misapplied to the congregation instead of the those taking the lead, so in effect there is still a clergy class. This has to change in line with the true Will and Word of Jehovah God.

Of course one has to be wary of apostasy and of anyone showing new insight into the scriptures, and anything different has to be intensely scrutinized. I would assure you that this is my faith and my Truth, and I would never intentionally do anything against it, but still check it out thoroughly. It is also worth noting that; the faithful and discreet slave, the Governing Body and the anointed in general do not say or believe that they have more insight or holy spirit than the great crowd. So logically any one can have new insight by holy spirit and so no matter who the channel is and as long as it’s in harmony with God’s Word it must be accepted;

TheFaithful Steward and Its Governing Body

However, Christians who have truly received this anointing do not demand special attention. They do not believe that their being of the anointed gives them special insights beyond what even some experienced members of the “great crowd” may have. (Rev. 7:9) They do not believe that they necessarily have more holy spirit than their companions of the “other sheep have. . w09 6/15 pp.23-24 par. 15

Enjoy Personal Study of God’s Word

Although the slave class is defined as “faithful and discreet,” Jesus did not say that it would be infallible. This group of faithful anointed brothers still consists of imperfect Christians. Even with the best of intentions, they can be mistaken, as such men sometimes were in the first century… However, their motive is pure.  w02 12/1 p.17 par. 18

Updated 22/9/15

With the greatest respect; it’s clear from scripture the faithful and discreet slave is not infallible, they have not made that statement and they should not be viewed as some view the Pope as infallible, at; Mt 24:45-51 we are told the faithful and discreet slave is appointed over his domestics, to give them their food* (spiritual food from God’s Word) and if they do then Happy is that slave if his master on coming finds him doing so! But if He doesn’t, then he’s called an evil slave and the Master will punish him. Only the Master can say if they are truly faithful or not! Their primary requirement is to provide and explain where needed; all the spiritual nourishment that Jehovah God has given in His Word the bible. The ministry is one of the consequences of that nourishment.

*Greek; trophe; nourishment; from; trepho; to cherish [with food]

Mt 24:45 “Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food* at the proper time? 46 Happy is that slave if his master on coming finds him doing so! 47 Truly I say to you, he will appoint him over all his belongings. 48 “But if ever that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ 49 and he starts to beat his fellow slaves and to eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, 50 the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, 51 and he will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his place with the hypocrites. There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.

In the past hundred years or so the faithful and discreet slave have revealed so much from the Word of God that we have benefited from and there is a huge gulf between Christendom and the Truth which in its self is a fulfilment of prophecy and so faith strengthening. As is the ministry work on both accounts, but we have seen many adjustments to come in line with the scriptures over the years and things that were incorrectly understood and applied are now corrected, I know this in its self is a huge insight and difficult for many to handle the loss of control, the safety net of saying obey, but it’s God’s Word and Will. And there is more; this section on the faithful and discreet slave was written after the next section was researched;

The following day text I am sorry to say is scripturally naive with not the slightest mention of testing out for yourselves that what is said is from God and just accepting what we are told by the elder, it also gives the impression that all elders are pure and true in heart and rely only on God’s Word in this so called safe haven! Experience has proved that is not always the case. And that one demonstrate[s] that we are really being “taught by Jehovah by Willing submission and obedience to the elders! It is just so wrong

Day text Sat 31/10/2015

How can we demonstrate that we are really being “taught by Jehovah”? By carefully heeding his commands. In the safe haven of our congregations, we find needed guidance and protection, for it is there that faithful men who serve as elders provide Scriptural help and counsel. (Gal. 6:1) Much of Jehovah’s tender care reaches us through these “gifts in men.” (Eph. 4:7, 8) How should we respond? Willing submission and obedience result in God’s blessing. (Heb. 13:17)

At Heb 13:17 the Greek; peitho; means ‘to convince’ and not obey!

Sorry Obedience is only to Jehovah God and not to any man or elder.

This must be changed, Jehovah is a jealous God (Ex 34:14) and We must obey God as ruler rather than men (Ac 5:29), the mere thought that anyone should obey an elder should never come into the mind of any elder or any member of the congregation, it is an insult to God and His true obedient subjects who only worship and obey Him. So how can we demonstrate that we are really being “taught by Jehovah? Answer; by being obedient to our Heavenly Father and true to the original Greek by removing this corruption of scripture of obeying elders.

Some who have been stumbled go out quickly and others often just drift away slowly after seeing these ungodly men’s actions. There is a huge difference between someone who deliberately and continuingly sins and is removed from the congregation and someone who has been stumbled out and then eventually gets on with their lives outside. Partly due to the false interpretation of scripture to obey elders some have stumbled many and surely genuine loving elders, brothers and sisters in general should be actively seeking out such stumbled ones by these ungodly men and trying our utmost to build bridges, helping them see how Jehovah God wants them personally, cares and loves them. Hopefully that His earthly organisation has at last come in line with His Word.

As some are stumbled and leave thinking how can this be the truth when such things go on, so it must be made clear; That it is scripturally acknowledged that these things have and will happen even in the true faith and as Jude spoke of the wickedness of these shepherds and stars (as in elders and ministerial servants) then in verse 17 he said  As for YOU, beloved onescall to mind the sayings … of our Lord Jesus Christ. Stay faithful or in their case come back. Of course these ungodly shepherds and stars should be removed and hopefully now they will be.

As we do by showing our reasonableness for their low spiritual state due to ungodly men, there should never be anything approaching shunning of them.
Helping them back into our lives with love and not judgement, going the extra mile to show we care. What is the point of encouraging new ones in if we ignore those good hearted ones who have been stumbled out, and if we don’t help them what will Jehovah think of us? The One that states;

Eze 34:8 ‘“As surely as I am alive,” declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, 11 “Here I am, and I myself will search for my sheep, and I will care for them. 16 “The lost one I will search for, the stray I will bring back, the injured I will bandage

The last word must be obey Jehovah God and stay true to the original Greek by removing the corruption in scripture of obeying those taking the lead and in doing so remove a major cause of stumbling.

God’s view from Scripture

and medical facts

My comments in blue, Scriptures & quotes in black, references in green.

This is a very emotive subject with strong views from differing directions, difficult to cover and it is not my intention to cause offence. However this subject is covered in God’s word and it is important that it is covered, for those in this category and for the sanctification of God’s name.

In my ministry I usually ask people if they have any questions that they would like to have answered from God’s Word, as with people who are of many different religious backgrounds and beliefs, many have not had the opportunity to come to an accurate true knowledge of Who Almighty God really is and what His requirements for us are. Some have asked me what scriptures there are on the subject of homosexuality. So I have respectfully taken them through the appropriate scriptures, as I think it is very important that we all have the information to make informed decisions on all the varying avenues of life. I think it must be said that even if LGBT is not acceptable to God how some Christians treat them is totally unscriptural.

On the subject of judging people outside the congregations which would include LGBT the apostle Paul wrote; 1 Cor 5:12 For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? So when so called Christians judge anyone outside they clearly do not represent true Christians and how they should treat people outside the congregation, as only God judges those outside and I have always tried to treat them with respect in my ministry.

Also Christ gave the illustration of the Good Samaritan after stating you should love your neighbour as yourself at Luke 10:27 he was asked the question who is my neighbour? As the Samaritans had different beliefs and ways, the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans and the Samaritans have no dealings with the Jews, it was a fitting example that everybody is your neighbour and we are all expected to show love to all others. Not necessarily to love their ways, but to show love to the individual, not to necessarily associate with them as the Samaritan took the Jew to an Inn and not to his home, but to be kind and compassionate.

I know that many may say that homosexuality is not a matter of choice of what one’s desires are, however one may have desires but whether one acts or gives into those desires is another thing. Whether homosexuality is acceptable to God or not will be covered, but it is worth noting that even the apostle Paul personally had a struggle with trying not to be captive to sin’s law he didn’t specify what it was but Paul wrote;

Romans 7:21 I find, then, this law in my case: that when I wish to do what is right, what is bad is present with me. 22 I really delight in the law of God according to the man I am within, 23 but I behold in my members another law warring against the law of my mind and leading me captive to sin’s law that is in my members. 24 Miserable man that I am! Who will rescue me from the body undergoing this death? 25 Thanks to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So, then, with [my] mind I myself am a slave to God’s law, but with [my] flesh to sin’s law.

And it is also encouraging that in Paul’s first letter to the Corinthians he stated that some of the Christians in the congregation of Corinth had been homosexuals at one time before they became Christians. Covered later.

There is also another reason for covering the Homosexual issue and that is the major health risks involved with this way of life and the high death count which is of considerable concern. This will be covered after the scriptures under the heading of: The medical facts.

In the minds of many the evolutionary theory has knocked out or destroyed the idea of the creation of Adam and Eve and God’s union in marriage of the first human couple, of a man and a woman, setting God’s standard for marriage. The evolutionary theory has also obviously done the same for the credibility of the Word of God in general in the minds of many people. However Almighty God did create Adam and Eve. We did not evolve, as for a start DNA is far too complicated for that mythical ideology to be true, there are no links in the fossil records and they have even had to invent mythical things like “natural selection” and an “infinite number of alternative universes” to deal with the impossibility of life ever starting in the first place, yet alone not being wiped out (see Evolution versus logic). Only our loving creator Almighty God has the knowledge, wisdom and the right to instruct us in the best, correct and only way we should live, to not only please Him but also that we gain true health, happiness and life itself.

Before we go through the scriptures I think it is very important to establish in one’s own mind if it is logical to believe in the existence of an all knowing, all powerful God, this will also help you see the importance and wisdom of acknowledging His guidance in your life. So first if you have any doubts of the reality of the existence of God. See: Evolution verses Logic and Creation the Genesis account. Or maybe you have doubts because you wonder why so much badness happens in the world and why does God allow this to happen. Some even in the churches say that God is behind it! Can that be true? See: Does the Lord give and the Lord take away?

Scriptures in the Old Testament on homosexuality.

The first scripture is Genesis chapter 19 and is about the two angels that came to see Lot in the form of men, to warn Lot and his family that God was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah for their sins. In Genesis chapter 18 we learn that the cities of Sodom and Gomorra’s sin was very grievous (*heavy; in a bad sense), however we are not told specifically the sin involved until chapter 19 were rape and homosexuality is clearly the cause, as many men from the city of Sodom wanted to have sex with them (the angels) and so this clearly clarifies the sin and why God was going to destroy the city. The second scripture Lev 18 and is where God gave Moses the Commandments.

Gen 18:20 And the Lord said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous* KJV

*Hebrew; kabad; to be heavy (in a bad sense) Strong’s

Gen 19: 1 The two angels came to Sodom at evening…. 4 the men of the city, the men of Sodom, surrounded the house, both young and old, all the people from every quarter. 5 They called to Lot, and said to him, “Where are the men who came in to you this night? Bring them out to us, that we may have sex with them.” 14 The men (angels) said to Lot, “Do you have anybody else here? Sons-in-law, your sons, your daughters, and whoever you have in the city, bring them out of the place: 13 for we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before Yahweh that Yahweh has sent us to destroy it.” 14 Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters, and said, “Get up! Get out of this place, for Yahweh will destroy the city.” WEB

Lev 18: 22 You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination**. 23 …It is perversion. NKJV

Another translation puts the scripture this way; Lev 18:22 Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable** sinNLT

Some people say that the word Homosexual isn’t in the Hebrew text, well no the actual word Homosexual is not in the Hebrew text, because the word was only used for the first time about two hundred years ago. But in the Hebrew at Lev 18.22 the relevant passage  is written like this; a male thou shalt not lie as with woman* this is disgusting.** And a male that lies with a male as with a woman is a fitting description or definition of a male Homosexual. So the word homosexual isn’t in the Hebrew but the definition of homosexual and Homosexuality is in the Hebrew.

I normally check the Hebrew and Greek on the subjects I cover as translators have a bad habit of changing the meaning of various words in translation to suit their own ends.

The Hebrew words to English at Lev 18:22;

*Hebrew; ‘eth; nearness; with, zakar; a male, lo’; not, shakab; to lie down (sexual connection), ishkab; a bed; carnal intercourse, as with, ‘ishshah; a woman.

**The words abomination and detestable are from the Hebrew; tow`ebah; meaning; something disgusting (morally); an abhorrence. Which is from the Hebrew; ta`ab; to loathe, to (morally) detest.

Most people think that Christ is Almighty God and consequently some believe that Almighty God coming in the form of Christ to earth has softened or changed His views on sexual matters. However they are not the same person (see; Trinity) and Almighty God never changes His standards; Mal 3:6 For I am the Lord, I do not change. NKJV and Christ is in full harmony with his God and Father.

John 6:38 I have come down from heaven not to do my will but the will of him that sent meTNIV

John 5:19 Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. KJV

Also the general perception is that it’s only or mainly the Old Testament that condemns the practice of homosexuality, however there seems to be more scriptures on the subject in the New Testament than the old.

Scriptures in the New Testament on homosexuality.

Rom 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness… 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools… 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of deathKJV

Same scripture, different translation; Rom 1: 24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved. NLT

1 Cor 6:9 Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, 10will not inherit God’s Kingdom. NWT2013

Same scripture, different translation; 1 Cor 6:9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor practising homosexuals 10 …will inherit the kingdom of God. TNIV

1 Tim 1:8 Now we know that the Law is fine provided one handles it lawfully 9 in the knowledge of this fact, that law is promulgated, not for a righteous man, but for persons lawless and unruly, ungodly and sinners, lacking loving-kindness, and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers, 10 fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching. NWT

Same scripture, different translation; 1 Tim 1:9 For the law was not intended for people who do what is right. It is for people who are lawless and rebellious, who are ungodly and sinful, who consider nothing sacred and defile what is holy, who kill their father or mother or commit other murders. 10 The law is for people who are sexually immoral, or who practice homosexuality, or are slave traders, liars, promise breakers, or who do anything else that contradicts the wholesome teaching 11 that comes from the glorious Good News entrusted to me by our blessed God. NLT

Heb 13:4 …for God will judge sexually immoral people

The next one is a reminder of Gen 19 by Christ’s fleshly brother Jude;

Jude 7 What happened to Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities near them is an example for us of the punishment of eternal fire. The people of these cities suffered the same fate that God’s people and the angels did, because they committed sexual sins and engaged in homosexual activities. GW

The Eternal fire reference brings to most people’s minds Hell fire, but this is wrong and a perversion of scripture, there is no such place as Hell, there is no consciousness,  no thoughts, and no pain when dead. (see; Life, Death)

Same scripture, different translation; Jude 7 And don’t forget Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns, which were filled with immorality and every kind of sexual perversion. Those cities were destroyed by fire and serve as a warning of the eternal fire of God’s judgment. NLT

The word sexual perversion is from the Greek word ekporneuo; from porneuo; meaning; indulge unlawful lust.

The words that God uses and their meaning in the New and Old Testament are; loathe, detest, disgusting, perversion, abomination.

And yet that is what some of you were

Another look at a scripture quoted above 1 Cor 6:9 …men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality & 10 …will not inherit Gods Kingdom, and yet most importantly it continues in verse 11  with And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean; you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous

So it states on the subject of homosexuality to members of the Christian congregation in Corinth; And yet that is what some of you were, so previously members of the Christian congregation in Corinth were practicing homosexuals, and subsequently stopped and changed, they repented; Acts 3.19 Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out.

1 Cor 6:9… men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, 10.. will not inherit Gods Kingdom. 11 And yet that is what some of you were. But you have been washed clean; you have been sanctified; you have been declared righteous in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and with the spirit of our God. NWT2013

Forgiveness

However the conduct of Homosexuality is seen by God, He is a God of love and of forgiveness, that is why He sent His only begotten son Christ Jesus, as Christ said; I have come to call, not righteous persons, but sinners to repentance;

Luke 5:30 At this the Pharisees and their scribes began murmuring to his disciples, saying: “Why is it YOU eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 In reply Jesus said to them: “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but those who are ailing do. 32 I have come to call, not righteous persons, but sinners to repentance.”

Christians have been instructed to repudiate* ungodliness and worldly desires and Christ gave himself for us that he might deliver us from every sort of lawlessness and cleanse for himself a people. So people had to be cleansed or repent and turnaround from their sins;

Titus 2:11 For the undeserved kindness of God which brings salvation to all sorts of men has been manifested, 12 instructing us to repudiate* ungodliness and worldly desires and to live with soundness of mind and righteousness and godly devotion amid this present system of things, 13 while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of [the] Savior of us, Christ Jesus, 14 who gave himself for us that he might deliver us from every sort of lawlessness and cleanse for himself a people peculiarly his own, zealous for fine works. NWT

*Repudiate; refuse to accept or be associated with. Dictionary

Acts 3:19 Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get YOUR sins blotted out

Marriage

Some faiths marry homosexuals in their churches, however Christ said that his true disciples remain faithful to my teachings and that many will say that they are his followers or true Christians, but he said that he will say to them; I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!‘ Those who marry homosexuals do not remain faithful to his teachings, as it is clearly in opposition to the above scriptures so they have rejected the word of the Lord and go beyond the things that are written hence God also has rejected them as those who practice lawlessness.

John 8:31 Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. 32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” NLT.

Matt 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’  23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ NKJV

1Co 4:6 learn the rule: “Do not go beyond the things that are written” NWT

1 Sam 15:23 Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected youNKJV

These same religions probably teach Hellfire! (See; Life, Death, Hell, Life after death) and that God takes our loved ones away! (See; Does the Lord give and take away) Disgraceful.

Conclusion of scriptures

Having looked at the scriptures some may say that God is cruel, uncaring, unloving, overbearing or just plain wrong in His laws and guidance to make such limitations on mankind. Well every parent wants the very best for their children, our Heavenly Father is no different in that respect. He created us, His loving care can clearly be seen in our design, and He knows perfectly well what is good for us and what is not. And if that is true it would be foolishness not to take note and apply His wisdom and guidance, and live in a way that promotes health and everlasting life.

We now live in the age of knowledge, of science and technology, so the question is what do the modern day facts show? Does our modern day scientific knowledge prove that homosexuality is healthy and safe to practice or is God’s guidance written thousands of years ago for our protection right, the actions of a loving God and the best way for us to live our lives?

The medical facts

A Frank look at the medical dangers of what male homosexuality involves, where the sexual act involves the penis’ entry of the rectum. Now the penis was designed by God to pass urine or sperm which we are told according to a NHS web site is generally sterile and we will see that the penis was not designed to handle bacteria. However the rectum which passes faeces is completely different it was designed to cope with a massive amount of bacteria, because human faeces contains a mass of different very harmful bacteria which is highly infectious that can be transmitted, according to a NHS web site which include; cholera, dysentery, e-coli, salmonella, shigellas, rota virus, norovirus all very deadly infectious bacteria. We can clearly see why Almighty God refers to this activity with words like; loathe, detest, disgusting, perversion and abomination.

We are even taught that basic hygiene after using the toilet is not to cross contaminate the urethra of the penis with faeces from the rectum while using tissue paper to avoid urinary tract infections. This was one of the topics on the program “Embarrassing bodies” where the Doctor asked members of the public individually to sit fully clothed on a toilet in a public square and asking them individually how they would wipe themselves with tissue paper; from front to back or back to front. Then explaining to the whole group the importance of only wiping front to back so as not cross to contaminate the urethra from the rectum and the subsequent danger of Urinary tract infections. So in effect the medical association gives a health warning to the practice of homosexuality when it warns against the cross contamination of bacteria from the anus to the penis.

Urinary tract infections are obviously common with anal sex and Sepsis is common with urinary tract infections and someone with Sepsis has only a 10 to 20% chance of surviving if undiagnosed and not treated with antibiotics, and even if you do get diagnosed in time and survive from Sepsis it can cause fatigue, brain dysfunctions, organ failure, multiple amputations and disfigurement. So you may have to live with one or more life changing limitations.

If that isn’t bad enough, having considered all of the previous health risks then there is the obvious HIV and AIDS which have already killed over 35 million people earth wide, where homosexuality has been the major contributing factor.

BBC Victoria Derbyshire 18/6/2019. Yusef Azad director of strategy national aids trust; There is 100 times more HIV in the gay community compared with the British born heterosexual community.

BBC Breakfast 27/6/18. Louise Minchin presenter; “35 million people have died from HIV and AIDS around the world”

Then according to a poll used on The Wright Stuff  there is the detrimental psychological effects of LGB’s who are more likely to suffer from; poor mental health, drug and alcohol addiction, all this on top of the sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV which they are also more likely to suffer from.

The poor mental health is also shown in these reports;

 BBC newsbeat; Higher suicide risk for young gay and lesbian people

52% of young LGBT people report self-harm…

44% of young LGBT have considered suicide

Another report stated that; Gay and bisexual men are four times more likely to attempt suicide than heterosexual men…

HIV.gov; Gay and bisexual men have the largest number of new diagnoses in the United States… anal sex is the highest-risk sexual activity for transmitting HIV. …transgender women who have sex with men are among the groups at highest risk for HIV infection…

These statistics are both shocking and sad but should we be surprised by this? No because the fact that disease and death is caused by homosexuality is highlighted in scripture above; Rom 1: 27 men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence* of their error which was meet as a result of this sin. KJV Another translation put it like this; they suffered within themselves the penalty* they deserved. NLT. Or receiving in themselves the due penalty* of their error. WEB

*Greek; antimisthia; requital, correspondence; from; misthos; payment for services good or bad.

Thousands of years before modern medical science revealed these facts to us in our day God clearly knew all about the harmful effects of homosexuality and has lovingly warned us to avoid such things. However this suffering is not a punishment from God it is the result of ignoring His laws and of going against His warning that such health problems arise and those who choose to ignore His laws time and again do suffer as a consequence.

Well the facts are there, one can accept them or not, or just ignore them as many do. Personally all the facts clearly indicates that homosexuality isn’t a safe, loving or a desirable way of life to live. Alarm bells should in my opinion be sounding and if you truly love someone you would never intentionally expose them to such deadly health risks. Also when you are in a relationship you also have a duty to care for your own health, if not for yourself then for the one(s) you hopefully Love and care about, as you would not put someone you truly love through the pain of seeing you suffer and die from one of the above conditions, leaving them grieving your loss, with the possibility and fear that you have passed on your infections to them, which may well kill them too.

When I was young I lived through the sorrowful deaths of a sister through a painful disease and of my father through suicide which destroyed the family and changed my life and that of my siblings for the worst. I know the damaging effects and do not wish to see others live their lives in ways that cause similar terrible things. Only many decades later can I truly say I have finally managed to get peace and that is through my Biblical study, research, ministry, and coming closer to God. But you can still choose how you want to live your life and no person can judge you, only Almighty God has the right to do that.

After examining the facts they prove the following scripture to be true again; Isa 48:17 This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. 18 O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea. NWT

O if only indeed, it always reminds me of an exhausted loving parent telling off a persistent naughty child.

The words “God is love” is often seen on LGBT placards to suggest that “anything goes” in the so called name of love, but due to the vast amount of health hazards and deaths with LGBT that cannot be true and because God is love He gives us guidance and because He is our Creator He is the source of genuine guidance for our protection, and that is genuine love.

Conscience

We have an inbuilt conscience that tells us what is right and what is wrong, as seen at Romans 2:14 & 15 and it is this that tells us when we are guilty of doing anything that is morally incorrect, that in turn can play heavily on our minds and if we ignore it can cause us great stress and depression. We have to learn to rely on our God given conscience and not go against it for the sake of our own health physically and mentally, as in; accusing or else excusing us.

Rom 2:14 When outsiders who have never heard of God’s law follow it more or less by instinct, they confirm its truth by their obedience. 15 They show that God’s law is not something alien, imposed on us from without, but woven into the very fabric of our creation. There is something deep within them* that echoes God’s yes and no, right and wrongTHE MESSAGE

Same scripture, different translation; Rom 2:15 …their conscience* also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them. NKJV

*Greek; suneidesis; coperception; moral consciousness.

Lesbianism

Most of the scriptures make reference to male homosexuality but Rom 1:24 & 26 clearly also mentions female homosexuality; 24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies 26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. NLT

Transgender

Transgenderism in the case of hermaphroditism is apparently an extremely rare sex anomaly in which gonads for both sexes are present, in which external genitalia may show traits of both sexes; testis and ovary, this condition is sometimes identified at birth. This condition is not caused by God or due to any fault of the infant, it is unfortunately due to Adamic sin, environmental affects or even drugs that some people are born with medical conditions that can cause much pain and suffering physically and mentally.

Biblically even people putting on or wearing another genders clothing to look like the opposite gender should not be done and is detestable to God.

Deu 22:5 A woman must not put on the clothing of a man, nor should a man wear the clothing of a woman. For anyone doing so is detestable to Jehovah your God. NWT

Another translation puts the scripture this way; Deut 22:5 A woman shall not be clothed with man’s apparel, neither shall a man use woman’s apparel: for he that doeth these things is abominable before God. Douay-Rheims

Apart from that the bible doesn’t seem to say much on the subject apart from eunuchs who were born that way.

Mat 19:12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs on account of the Kingdom of the heavens. Let the one who can make room for it make room for it. The make room for it is in referring to putting God’s Kingdom’s ministry work before one’s own personal or sexual interests, as in; Mat 6:33 Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU.

However many seem to be physically of one gender and feel that they should be the other gender, which is of concern particularly as according to another poll on same programme of The Wright Stuff the percentage of children with gender dysphoria who changed their minds when they get older is 80%. So clearly children should not be pushed into or even encouraged to medically change gender and never before adulthood and old enough to know all the facts and dangers to be able to make their own decisions and take that responsibility themselves.

However if you truly are of a different gender than the one you were born in then God will sort that out in His due course and time. The vast majority of those resurrected will be to here on earth so you too will then be able to live life in perfection with a perfect physical body, that’s another thing the churches get wrong. (See; life, death, resurrection). There is a saying in the world today; you only have one life, meaning this is your lot, make the most of it. Well that is not God’s way, a Christian should be seeking first the kingdom and then all other things will come.

Mat 6:33 Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU. 34 So, never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties.

The reference; never be anxious and anxieties is not referring to mental health issues.

Let Children be Children

Wright Stuff 15/5/17. Which is a topical debate program which consists of a panel and audience normally with a proportion of people who are LGBT, also with comments from the public all of whose views and opinions are sort and aired.

On the subject of school uniform and gender neutral uniforms. The conversation developed onto why young ones are so confused and have so much depression.

From the panel; Stefan Gates. When I was a boy, no boys seem to want to do it (wear girl’s clothing). Gender neutral uniform is a big deal these days. There are lots of kids these days questioning their gender.

Mathew Wright; Confused? Maybe they are not confused and absolutely set on their path or maybe endless fiddling around with uniform policy has actually created confusion in their young developing minds leading to all this kind of policy! I see that children by definition are children and don’t know their own minds legally until they are ten to twelve years of age depending on where they live. And actually all of us as children did things that was put down to childness, how we behaved. But now we give credibility to the views of. In fact I saw one report about someone seeking medical help aged five! And I think you haven’t even entered your second sexual characteristics stage of your development.

One of my friends daughters has been variously non-binary, trans, lesbian and now has a boyfriend at seventeen. She’s just gone through the whole gamut of different things that have been out there! It is possible that we have created the possibility for children to be become depressed by giving them more options which are still perhaps ill-defined and vague.
Ann Diamond. You are almost encouraging them to label themselves, before they need to.

Yes young children by definition are children and don’t know their own minds until they are older and with sexual matters not before puberty.

Interesting the suggestion is there is a trend of putting the idea of being Lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender into the minds of young children who wouldn’t normally have thought of it and have no real idea what that involves, what those life styles are, is that a form of behaviour conditioning? A form of grooving, causing these problems in young ones lives?

They have no idea the problems they will face, the contributing factors to a massive increase of mental and physical health problems, depression, self-harming and suicides on a scale never seen before. Setting them on such a life course thinking it’s a fine, good and safe way for them to live. The true reality they will only discover as they grow older when it is too late and in the meantime putting them under such a pressure that the older generation were never put through. We had our problems, but never on this scale.

A duty of care and Children

A duty of care; requires one to prevent any foreseeable harm to others. If one doesn’t then one is negligent in one’s care. When you send your child to school, the school has a duty of care and if they do not show that care, they can be prosecuted, that’s the same even for parents.

It’s immoral to put the pressure of gender or sexual persuasion before young children who are too young to understand the sexual acts involved and the massive health dangers.

Whereas adults have the right and hopefully the intelligence to get the facts to make an informed decision for themselves children don’t so the question is why would any loving caring person recommend a lifestyle to children that causes cholera, dysentery, e-coli, salmonella, shigellas, rota virus, norovirus, sepsis which are all very deadly infectious bacteria, and much higher rates of HIV and AIDS, poor mental health, drug and alcohol addiction, suicide and early painful deaths? When you consider all that the question iscould putting such pressure and those consequences on a child be nothing short of child abuse?

Children by definition are children, so to even suggest that’s OK, to put that idea into the minds of young children, for them to get that mind set, without the above dreadful knowledge which they are too young to understand anyway is surely wrong?

If and when they do ask as they get older about the subject then a cautious explanation of the lifestyle and the true harmful facts would be required. Then the informed decision is theirs and theirs alone.

Of course as God’s existence has been scientifically proven factual (see: Evolution versus logic) then God’s scriptural guidance should also be included, which could save their spiritual health and lives.

Association

Those who love God are instructed to hate what is bad, not the person but more precisely to hate the practices they do that are bad. Ps 97:10 You who love the Lord, hate evil! NLT

Another translation puts the scripture this way; Ps 97:10 O YOU lovers of Jehovah, hate what is bad. He is guarding the souls of his loyal ones; Out of the hand of the wicked ones he delivers them.

This hating what is bad also means not to associate with those who live such lives. 1 Cor 15:33 Do not be misled. Bad associations spoil useful habits.

Another translation puts the scripture this way; 1 Cor 15:33 Do not deceive yourselves: “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.” Weymouth

There is a difference between personal association that one chooses to do in one’s own time and association at work or school when one maybe expected to work along with those who live their lives with differing beliefs, morals and standards. A true Christian does not judge other people or their way of life. As far as possible a Christian must be respectful and peaceable with all.

However there is also a difference between getting along with others, not judging other people’s way of life and being expected to accept it as acceptable or be taught or one’s children to be taught that their way of life is acceptable, being expected to approve of their way of life, particularly if that way of life is condemned by God, and if their way of life is harmful to their physical or mental health in anyway as in the case of LGBT. As far as possible a Christian must be respectful and peaceable with all.

Draw close to God, and he will draw close to YOU

My heart goes out to any and all who truly want to please God, for we all fall short of God’s glorious standardit’s just a matter of how far we have fallen and whether in our hearts do we want to pick ourselves up and make changes in our lives that please Almighty God, which will also benefit us and those we love. He will help and guide you through the way ahead if you truly wish to please Him, but first you need to get to really know Him, to know who He is, what He is. To learn how to put Him first in your life so that He can help you and then you will truly benefit yourself and those you love.

Rom 3:23 For everyone has sinnedwe all fall short of God’s glorious standardNLT

Jam 4:8 …Draw close to God, and he will draw close to YOU.

John 17:3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. NWT

Does God give and take away?

Does; the Lord give and the Lord take away?

These words were spoken by Job in ignorance

 A disgusting insult to God, repeated by many today

At the grave side and from the pulpit

 My comments in blue, Scriptures & quotes in black, references in green

This false belief comes from the churches ignorance of the Bible book of Job. Job does make this false statement about Almighty God due to his ignorance, however he later repents and sincerely apologises to God for his ignorance. So should the Orthodox Churches in fact most Biblically based religions in general, as most are guilty of this slander. So let’s take a look at the bible’s book of Job.

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job. That man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil. WEB

Job 1: 2 And there were born unto him seven sons and three daughters. 3 His substance also was seven thousand sheep, and three thousand camels, and five hundred yoke of oxen, and five hundred she asses, and a very great household; so that this man was the greatest of all the men of the east. KJV

Then a messenger tells Job that God has done these terrible things;

Job 1:16 Fire of God hath fallen from the heavens, and burneth among the flock and among the young men, and consumeth them, 17 While this [one] is speaking another also hath come and saith, ‘Chaldeans … take them, and the young men they have smitten by … the sword, 18 ..another…saith, ‘Thy sons and thy daughters…in the house of their brother, the first-born. 19 And lo, a great wind hath come from over the wilderness, and striketh … the house, and it falleth on the young men, and they are dead YLT

Job 1: 20 Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, 21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. 22 In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. KJV

However technically by saying; the Lord hath taken away he has charged God falsely, he’s just ignorant of the facts, so no sin is accounted to him.

Then Job was struck; Job 2:7…with painful sores from the sole of his foot to his head 8 He took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with, and he sat among the ashes. WEB

Even his wife blames God;

Job: 2:9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10 But he said to her, “You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?” In all this Job did not sin with his lips. NKJV

Here again Job although faithful he seems to accept what people are saying; that it is God who is the one coursing his sufferings as he has said both;

Job 1: 21 the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away and; 2: 10 Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity? NKJV

This isn’t surprising as though God said of him there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil, Job was an Oriental, not a native Jew, and so his knowledge of God was limited, as God said he speaks; Job 38.1 ‘By words without knowledge.

Job 34:35 Elihu a distant knowledgeable relative to Abraham states; Job speaks without knowledge, His words are without wisdom NKJV

However later on Job goes too far;

Job 32:2 And Elihu … was angry, burning with wrath against Job, because he seemed to himself more right than God BBE

Job 33: 8 [Elihu said] Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, And I have heard the voice of (thy) words, (saying), 9 I am clean, without transgression; I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me: 10 Behold, he [God] findeth occasions against me, He counteth me for his enemy: ASV or Job 33; 9 “I am pure, I am innocent; I have not sinned.” 10 You say God is using a fine-toothed comb to try to find a single fault, and so to count you as his enemy. “And he puts my feet in the stocks” you say, “and watches every move I make” The Living Bible

Poor Job at this point he suggests God is trying to find faults to punish him, he is no doubt mentally suffering as he is physically, he has no real idea what, why or who is behind his troubles. He is still faithful and keeping his integrity to God even though he assigns him the blame. I too in my life have suffered loss, battled with false opposition and I constantly suffer physically with my health and if I did not know the real cause behind the worlds suffering I don’t know if I could stand faithful as Job! Despite his lack of knowledge and erroneous reasoning Job is an amazing example of faith.

Job 34:10 [E·li′hu corrects Job;] far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity. KJV

Job 38:1 Then the Lord answered Job… 2 “Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge? 4 “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? 11 ‘This far you may come, but no farther, And here your proud waves must stop!’ NKJV

Job 40:1 …Jehovah continued to answer Job:  2 “Should a faultfinder contend with the Almighty? Let the one who wants to reprove God answer.” NWT

Job now apologies to God for assigning Him as responsible for his sufferings; by saying God takes away, that He is behind adversity, and that God tries to find fault in him, he admits he was wrong to speak without knowledge.

Job 42:1 Job answered God: 2 “I’m convinced: You can do anything and everything. Nothing and no one can upset your plans. 3 You asked, ‘Who is this muddying the water, ignorantly confusing the issue, second-guessing my purposes?’ I admit it. I was the one. I babbled on about things far beyond me, made small talk about wonders way over my head. 4 You told me, ‘Listen, and let me do the talking. Let me ask the questions. You give the answers.’ 5 I admit I once lived by rumors of you; now I have it all firsthandfrom my own eyes and ears! 6 I’m sorryforgive me. I’ll never do that again, I promise! I’ll never again live on crusts of hearsay, crumbs of rumor.” MESSAGE

Job 42: 10 So the LORD restored Job’s fortunes and double his all his possessions 13 He had seven [more] sons and three [more] daughters 17 and died at a very great age. The New English Bible

This brings to mind those who have suffered and died in ignorance of the truth of who God is and how forgiving and understanding God is to such one’s and their hope for future life. Maybe ones who may have turned away from God thinking that He is the one causing their problems.

Many today mock the idea of God because of this false portrayal of God, this idea that God takes away and God causes earthquakes, floods, and death, along with false teachings like hell fire, purgatory and so on, so that many people turn their backs on religion.

Why did Job lose everything?

And why did God allow this?

What Job did not know; was what was going on in heaven, this shows who was rely behind Job’s suffering and the bigger issues involved;

Job 1: 6 Now there was a day when the sons [angels] of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them. 7 And the Lord said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the LORD and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” 8 Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?” 9 So Satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? 10 Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. 11 But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face! NKJV

Satan claimed that Job is only blameless and upright because God has blessed Job with much. Notice though Satan said to God for Him to oppress Job, but God doesn’t, He hands Job over to Satan and so Satan is the one behind Job’s sufferings;

Job 1:12 And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.”

So Satan kills his live stoke and his children, But Job didn’t curse God but blesses Him, so Satan returns;

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the Lord. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.” 3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.” 4 So Satan answered the LORD and said, Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. 5 But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!” NKJV

Again Notice Satan said to God to oppress Job more, but again God doesn’t, He hands Job over to Satan a second time;

Job 1:6 And the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand, but spare his life.” 7 So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head. 8 And he took for himself a potsherd with which to scrape himself while he sat in the midst of the ashes. 9 Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!” 10 … In all this Job did not sin with his lips. NKJV

We don’t hear from Satan in the book of Job again, Satan failed to prove his point, he said; “Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life”, he was wrong, and but it has highlighted the cause behind the world’s sufferings. In Job’s case Satan was directly targeting him, but in general; Ec 9.11 time & chance happen to – all NIV

Why did God hand over Job? He’s far more powerful, He could have just destroyed Satan, and well yes He could so easily of done that, but what would that prove that God is more powerful, a bully, a tyrant possibly. It would not have answered the ‘Bigger issue’! Satan’s claim; Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life, or in other words man serves God only for what he can get out of it! Satan intended to show all the sons of God, including the angels; that Job and all mankind would not keep fast to their integrity if pushed to the limit, and that ultimately all mankind is selfish (sounds like Dawkins). This was later answered in full by Jesus Christ the Son of God himself, who as a perfect man with his own will was tempted by Satan and when that failed was proved faithful to the point of an agonizing shameful death, to his God and Father Jehovah.

Further to that is the ‘Bigger issue’ of Jehovah’s God’s Sovereignty that was brought into question in connection to the tree of knowledge of good and bad at; Geneses chapter 3, “But the serpent was subtler … said …unto the woman: tush ye shall not die: But God doth know, that whensoever ye should eat of it, your eyes shall be opened and ye should be as God and know both good and evil. And the woman … took of the fruit of it and ate… William Tyndale Translation

Here Satan is not only calling God a liar; but Satan is challenging God and he is bringing in the question God’s right to rule, God’s Sovereignty and whether God’s rule is best for mankind! That mankind don’t need God that they can do fine without Him; boy was Satan wrong, so, so wrong! God could have just destroyed Adam and Eve, but that again would just prove his power, not His right to or His worthiness as sovereign, or their lack of ability to govern themselves and that mankind truly need Jehovah God to guide them.

It’s also at this point that mankind starts to grow old and die; note that God only said that they would die if they ate of the tree of knowledge. Oh and some people say it wasn’t such a big deal that they took some fruit? Well yes it was, they had everything they could possibly need and they still stole from God! There were no other people so God said but that’s mine, don’t take, and don’t eat. Not much to ask, because paradise wouldn’t be paradise if everybody stole and that was just the start of man turning away from God, one generation down and brother is killing brother! Its just snow balled down hill from there.

Due to Adamic sin, man turned to Satan so; 1 Jo 5.19 the whole world is under the control of the evil one. NIV And that’s why God handed over Job and said to Satan;Behold, he is in your hand“.

Due to Adamic sin we die; Rom 5:12 That is why, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned… 14 … death ruled as king from Adam down… NWT

It was never God’s intention that mankind should grow old and die, we were designed to live forever, here on earth in paradise.

It is a disgrace that so many so called religious leaders do not understand what an insult it is to God when they say; “God gives and God takes away” or that He took because “God needed another angel”
